Woohoo, I’m doing a peacock theme wedding. We’re using a teal, dark blue, and purple, all in deep jewel tones to be a bold contrast to the winter weather we’ll still have up here. What are you looking for specifically? Decor examples or ideas? Or ways to incorporate the colors? I could go on an on about what we’re doing, but I’m sure some of it won’t be to useful if it’s not what you’re looking for. ๐Ÿ™‚

@AmberAustin: If you’re looking for some inspiration, go to etsy and look up ‘peacock (insert item here)’. There are TONS of cute things on etsy, and while they may not be what exactly you love or can afford, you’ll get tons of ideas! They especially have cute shoes (I think I’ll be going the teal or deep purple satin route), and hair pieces (which you could totally give a shot at DIY, along with bouts you could make yourself, too). Tons of inspiration on Etsy…LOVE it!

Personal examples- We’re using regency, horizon, and oasis dresses from David’s Bridal (letting the girls pick). We’re using blue lanterns and hanging them from the aisles for the ceremony and then using them as the centerpieces for the reception. We’ll use the purple/blue/teal napkins available at our venue to add pops of color without having to go spend-crazy on linens. Our save the dates are from an etsy vendor (lots of peacock invites/save-the-dates there), and we’ve found a local seal-and-send invite place with a nice peacock invite. Feathers can be included in hair pieces, bouts, on place settings or chair ties depending on the formality of your wedding and what all you’re including.

I hope you have fun planning a peacock wedding, there are TONS of ways to tie in the colors but not go ‘feather crazy.’  Have a blast and feel free to ask me any other Qs if you need ‘research’…I’ve done tons of it already!

ETA- you’d asked about bouquets…I’m doing a blue/purple/green jeweled brooch bouquet, but if you’re looking for florals, blue dendrobium orchids are GORGEOUS (but may be spendy, I don’t know what you’re looking to spend). But those are some drool-worthy flowers.

Love a peacock bride…I’m one. Our basic color is a dark teal. The dresses are made from dupioni silk and are being custom made. The invites are ivory shimmer with teal ink and a teal folder. although we are sticking to white table cloths (to open up the space), my tall centerpieces are all peacock feathers. I have some tables with actual gold peacock figurines with rose petals and my short centerpieces are clay pots (spray painted gold) with teal candles and candle gems and a blue and green floral ring.

All of the personal flowers will have peacock feather elements and my bouquet is ALL feathers. YEAH!!! Remember feathers can be cheaper than flowers.

There are so many color combinations…mine ended up being teal, ivory and metallic gold. Have fun with it. You can use blue, purple, green even brown.

You can buy rhinestone peacock feather hair clips too. I even found a stunning rhinestone peacock feather necklace. There are plenty of hair fascinators made out of feathers as well.

I’m also making peacock feather pomanders to hang from the pews. I even peacock feather garland at featherplace.com

Good luck. Keep us posted.

Peacock was our original color scheme, until we chose our December/Winter date. Now its a little tweaked!

We were planning to do a Plum Purple, Deep Teal and Charcoal or Black!                   I loved the colors together! And I really wish we could still use them, but even though we changed the colors, I am still hoping to use the TEAL!

Here’s a centerpiece I found at the beginning of our wedding planning that I LOVED.  It was going to be my main source of decor inspiration but I have since changed our entire theme.

@BrightYellowGaloshes: haha! That’s my wedding! ๐Ÿ™‚

Definitely check out Etsy. I got a lot of peacock accessories on there, including my fascinator.

That’s sooo funny, @Miss Damask!

Your wedding was absolutely beautiful! You looked gorgeous and your girls looked so fun! I loved the colors you chose for your bouquet, the bridesmaids’ dresses, their bouquets…everything was so great!

Favorite picture: when you and your man are praying in the front of church, or when you two are sitting down facing the camera and your head is on his shoulder. So beautiful!

You have done one amazing job planning your wedding! : )
