I don't believe there is a way to tell who purchased what; just what has been purchased.
Yeah I second CaraMia -- I think you can only see if an item has been purchased, but not who purchased it. It's a great idea to get a jump on thank yous, though. Maybe you could *start* a thank you note for each gift, then go back and add the name and a bit of personalizing to each card. Such as....
Dear Aunt Sue,
Thank you so much for the lovely flatware you purchased for us! It is going to get a lot of use and we look forward to having you over to enjoy it with us. It was nice seeing you and I hope you and Uncle Bob enjoyed Hollywood.... etc.
Writing something like the bolded parts first, and adding something like the non-bolded later could still save you time if you really want to do your thank yous "ahead" of time. :)
@piglet_625: I don't think that would work though. Because what if Aunt Sue and Uncle Bob bought you both the flatware (just taking your example) AND a plate set and picture frame (very generous Aunt and Uncle - but you get the idea - multiple gifts from one person). By your method, you would have 3 thank you notes started that should all be one thank you note.
@mundaetraversa: I'm almost positive there is no way to tell (and personally I think that kind of ruins the fun/surprise of getting gifts - its one thing to know what has been bought; it a whole other thing to know exactly who it is coming from). Just wait until you get things (some stuff will be sent to you pre-wedding) and start thank yous as you receive items to trim down what you'll have to do post-wedding.
You can call customer service and they'll tell you who bought what.
FutureKMM... very, very good point. I didn't think about that haha... good thing I haven't started yet, or else I might have been tempted to do that! It worked so well in my mind... :)
Good stuff to know. We're registered at BB&B, Macys, and Target. My shower is about a month away so I'm sure I'll be registry stalking soon.

Hi Bees, does anyone know if there is any way to see who purchased which gift on the online Target registry manager? I am an English teacher, and as such deal pretty much in dusty old books, not websites. Am I missing an obvious link, or does it not exist? I would like to write thank-yous as soon as I see gifts have been purchased.
Thanks!
