Hi bee’s i was wondering how much you paid for your hair and makeup trial and did you have them travel to you or did you travel to them. it seems like no one likes to travel and if they do they’re expensive.

I didn’t have a trial, but I did have an on-site stylist for hair and airbrush makeup that came to our hotel suite. My services were $200 plus gratuity.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
@HisNightOwl2014: Makeup Trial: $15 (would have been free but that was the cost to try out long lashes) and I travelled to her, she came to me on the wedding day.
Hair Trial: I chose not to have one because the cost was insane (same price as day of, $55) and I would have had to go to them, as I did on the day of.

I think it also depends on geography. I’m in the Boston area, and the minimum price for makeup I’ve seen is $50 (and hair is $75) at a salon that won’t travel to you. If they travel to you, $75 for trials has been about average.

Hair was free – I have been seeing her for 20 years. I traveled to her, but she will travel to me on wedding day.
