@MissAsB: Thanks! I actually got it for our engagement pics originally, but felt it was too fancy :) I guess maybe it's more appropriate for a holiday party!
I love it! I would not wear it with tights if it's a dressy restaurant (tights tend to seem casual to me).
It's so pretty, I love it! I think it's more than appropriate.
@spaniel: Good point.
If I go with bare legs, should I wear closed toed black pumps (pointy-ish toe, stiletto heel) or peep toe satin heels?
(wow, I am incapable of making any decision with out getting others' opinions, lol).
I've seen a lot of really cute patent leather pumps and peep toes lately. They would look cute.
@SLS79: That would look cute...unfortunately, the party is tomorrow, lol, so I just have to go with what's in my closet already! :)
@BanditGirl: Also agree with that actually...I wore this dress with tights to a bar mitzvah and felt like it made it look chunkier and more casual, as @spaniel said. Thanks! :)
Love it! I think the peep toe would be great but I'm thinking not practical in the weather no? Unless you change boots to shoes as soon as you get there!
I would suggest wearing it with a spectacular statement necklace, though. I see something like this with it:

@bakerella: Yeah it's supposed to be freezing here tomorrow, but i t's relatively dry out so I think I would be okay in peep toes. HOWEVER, that would mean I would have to get a mani pedi :/
@BanditGirl: What kind of necklace? Any examples? :)
@hilsy85: A quick DIY on your toes will do fine. It's just the bare ends of a couple of toes not a full out sandal, so I wouldn't get too crazy over it (unless you're looking for an excuse for a mani/pedi!). If you don't want to be bothered, go for the pumps, they'll look fantastic too!
@BanditGirl: Oooh very pretty...I'll have to see if I can find something real quick tomorrow!
@bakerella: You are so right. I'll just do a DIY job at home tomorrow afternoon :) Thanks for the reality check!
@bride123: I'm jumping straight into a cab to get to the party, so I think I should be okay :) I actually don't even own a pair of nude hose...
Hilsy - that necklace is from Bloomingdales. You're in NYC, eh? Shouldn't be difficult to find it. However, didn't look at the price (don't know if that matters). Anyway, my bet is you could find something similar at Macy's or even a Banana Republic, Ann Taylor or Loft type store! Even a Forever 21 might have something appropriate!
very appropriate & very cute - without tights! I love the idea of wearing a statement necklace too.

Short and sweet: Is this dress appropriate to wear to DH's holiday party? It will be held in a dressy restaurant. It's more green than it looks in this picture. Also, if it is appropriate, should I wear tights with it?
