Today while I was in Fred Myers shopping for kitchen knives I decided it might be fun to pop into their little jewerly store to look at watches for my Fiance. Well I ended up looking at their wedding bands sense I havent been able to find anything that works with my ring. The horrible woman starting shoving my ring into a ton of different ring wraps ( even though i stated not wanting a ring wrap) trying to make one fit while at the same time putting her grubby paws allllllllll over my center stone! I was cringing but didn’t want to be rude and I figured she was a professional and knew what she was doing. THEN it get brought up that I recently changed out my center stone for higher specs and she said to me in this horrible tone, while rolling her eyes, “what? The first stone wasnt good enough for you?” At this point I was ready to leave and get my ring back and she drops it!!!! And she dropped it with force! It made a horrble ping sound as it hit the metal edge of the jewelry case and then fell onto the metal tray thing she had in her lap!
NOOOOOW my stone is loose!!!! And there’s a tonnnn of tiney scratches in my ring! Needless to say ill be taking my ring to my trusted jewelers tomorrow to get it tightend and polished aaaannnnnnnnd ill be talking to the Fred Myers store manager tomorrow. Im totally horrified and will NEVER shop at ANY Fred Myers ever again.

wow, that is seriously unprofessional! I would also be talking to the store manager if I were you, just so that management could be on the lookout for this kind of behavior.

That sucks! You are a better person than me. I wouldn’t have been able to keep quiet. I feel ignorance is best dealt with swiftly and with force. LOL
Hope your ring is okay. If you have a receipt from your trip to your jeweler, I would hand carry it to the Fred Myers manager when I discussed the incident with them. Good luck & hope there isn’t anythiwe else wrong with your ring.

Ugh, who acts that way to a customer? Some people never cease to amaze me. I hope your ring turns out to be okay. In regard to the wedding band, are you opposed to a band that doesn’t wrap or fit your ering perfectly? Lots of girls are rocking the gap these days and I think it looks fabulous!

So RUDE! How do associates honestly expect to make any sales when they speak to customers that way AND then damage their property?!
I agree @adoc86: I love the gap look!
The only instance that I would be picky about that is if my bands were very thin and I wanted them soldered together or something like that.

UGH how rude! I hate when people in CUSTOMER SERVICE don’t have the trait of respect. So frustrating!

UPDATE: my jeweler said my stone was concerningly loose so he tightened it and polished my ring and it’s back to normal. Thank goodness my center stone is ok!!!!! I did call fred myers and talked the woman who dropped my ring and her manager and their district manager is going to give me a call to apologize and offer a solution, even though there isn’t one haha.
