I’m sorry. That’s hard. Honestly, if you haven’t been using any BC for three years, I’d say it’s time to get a new specialist.

I saw in a previous post that you started charting. How did this month’s chart turn out? Did you ovulate? The charts, as you continue to pile them up, will have some really good clues for your (hopefully next) specialist and will help you not waste any more of your time.

I know how you feel about friends and babies. I am about to have a slew of newborns on my facebook in the next month. One of my good friends invited me to her babyshower on my birthday. Thank god it’s out of state so I have a good excuse not to go because it would be pretty hard, especially as I figured out that we’re going to have to put off TTC until later in the year than I hoped. I also had a dream/nightmare the other day that my two best friends both announced they were pregnant on the same day and I was super “happy-sad” and my husband was a total jerk about it. So apparently I have baby on the brain!!

*Hugs* Hang in there.

I don’t know your history but if you’ve been trying for 3 years, I think you need to get a new doctor. Abnormal bleeding has a reason and it alone shouldn’t be preventing you from concieving. Any good doctor should be running various blood work and ultrasound/xray tests to see what your body is doing.

ETA: Also, I just started clomid. If you get it prescibed, just ask that the doctor checks that generic is ok and have it sent to target. Its a whole $9 for one month supply of 50mg WITHOUT insurance.

@mrsedwardslpn:  sounds like you should see a specialist . If your doctor won’t refer you get a new doctor. That is ridiculous that you’ve been trying for so long and he still wants you to wait another year. best advice is to learn as much as possible about your cycles/ body. Do your research. The more you know the more serious doctors will listen to you and be more proactive. I’m also a big believer in acupuncture and herbs. Find one that specializes in fertily. Sorry your having such a hard time! Baby dust

I’m not sure about your medical history, but I see clomid mentioned. Have you tried the Pregnitude supplement? It’s OTC and not very expensive, and it seems to give good results/reproductive support.
