Boyfriend finally popped the question on Friday!

We were standing on the lot where we are building a house this fall and he pointed to something square under a flowering weed. I told him that it was construction debris from when the house next door was being built and walked away from it. We talked about how the grading in the back yard would be, and he came back to the same square box and had me take a closer look at it.

OHHHHHHH I got it. The proposal was short and to the point (like us) and perfect. We did the yay we're engaged hugs and kisses... and about 5 minutes later went back to talking about where our house will sit on the lot. Practical to the core.

I picked out/ designed the ring in April. It is an asscher cut in platinum. I keep harassing him to get it insured!

I snapped some photos of it with the bouqet I caught last week at a wedding. The bride, a dear friend of mine, practically beelined it at me!

Thanks you guys! I didn't know internet strangers could make me cry! You all have been so supportive over the last 5 months while I've been waiting; THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Thanks guys! I'm working on the kitchen layout/ materials right now. And looking at Mrs. Tiramasu (sp?)'s blog about tent weddings. Nothing like multi tasking!

And yes, the bride last week literally beelined it at me. I might have made the flower girl cry by grabbing it when it went over head and I snatched it :) hehehe.
