Thanks again, everyone!
And no, the gift for the house wasnt just a cover story. He later told me he planned to paint it with his last name on it and tell me it was a gift for us to put outside our new house....he (rightfully so) expected me to playfully yell at him about it being HIS last name, not MY last name....and then he was going to propose. However, I got home too early and the paint didnt dry in time! Oops! Regardless, I love our story. :)
