What are you planning on doing with the cranes? If there going to be kind of far away (e.g., hung from the roof), you might want bigger ones, but if you're going to use them as part of the centerpieces, you might want smaller ones.
After discussing it with my FI, we decided to go with a mix of sizes. We'll be doing smaller ones to put in jars in the centerpieces and probably using some of the larger ones to decorate different tables and/or decorate the centerpieces in some way. Thank you gals for your input though.
As someone who's also making cranes for the wedding. You'll hate the smaller paper after a while. So I'd go with a mix (because that's fun) but I'd try to go with more larger ones as they'll be easier on your eyes, fingers and sanity.
Thanks littlemissmoo. That's what I was worried about too. How far have you gotten?

Ok, so I picked what I would use for paper. I bought some old cookbooks and am going to cut squares out of them to make the origami cranes out of them. One is a Betty Crocker Dinner For Two Cookbook from 1964 and the other is Sunset's Seafood Cookbook from the 1980's. I also have a few others that might go under the chopping block. I got the idea from Miss Stripes' post 2 days ago. Now my question is, should I go with the traditional 3" cranes or do 6" cranes?
