if my ceremony is at 5:30 am i crazy to want to do photos after the ceremony. I REALLY don’t want to do a first look, I’m thinking that the light at 6:00 in May will be quite pretty but I”m starting to worry. Suggestions?

The sun usually sets around 8pm in mid-May. I’d try googling what time the sun sets on your specific day. I’d also consult with your photographer and ask their opinion. It is their job, afterall, to know the best way to shoot your wedding. You’re probably putting out a pretty penny for their services. Don’t be afraid to use them as a resource!

You might at least want to get all of the group shots with your BMs and him and his GMs out of the way to save time.

@MsGinkgo: I had a 6pm ceremony (was over about 6:45) and did family and bride/groom photos after. It worked well! I did have photos with my girls beforehand as did the groomsmen. We had our wedding in early May.

Figure out when your sunset is and talk to your photographer.
