Our wedding isn’t for a few more weeks, but here’s us with our mutt on our engagement shoot.

Awww… cuteness! Laughing

I wish we could have our dogs in our wedding, but (1) we are having a destination wedding so that would be difficult, and (2) we have three dogs and that would be a handful (and no way could I choose just 1!)!

Haha my puppy is pawing at me right now (he is totally being neglected in favour of the hive!)

He’s called Vito (as in Vito Corleone) – was going to be Marlon (Brando) but friends called their dog Marley so we thought that would be confusing. The aim was to give him luck with the ladies but he’s having the chop in 2 weeks so I guess I sabotaged that one!

PS Yes that is actually him IN the bed, gross I know but I had to for the picture!

Ill play because our loves were in our wedding!  They were the ringbearers.  Brutus (choco lab) and Bubba (puggle)

🙁 I wish our baby (puggle) could be in the wedding. But it’s just not capable with it being at a hotel, someone would have to take her home between the ceremony and reception, etc…

My son’s 100 pound chocolate lab is going to be in his wedding at the beach next month!  I’m a little worried about him deciding to answer the call of nature on one of the guests chairs as he walks down the aisle!  Either that or wanting to chase a seagull (he’s a duck hunter).  Did anyone have any mishaps with their pooch at their wedding?

@futuremominlaw – my chocolate lab was in ours (see above) and no mishaps.  Though it was in a church, not on the beach.  But hey, if he goes after a seagull or pees, itll be funny in hindsight 🙂

@KellyV: yeah well, even if the dog misbehaves, I still much rather have my sons’ actual  dog in the wedding than the “dog” of a groomsman that he is replacing!  The original groomsman was one of my sons very crass duck hunting friends who pushed his way into the wedding.  My son finally saw the light and threw him out of the wedding (and his life) and replaced him with his lab who is really his best friend.  We all love Barry, but he tends to be a bit rambunctious at times and a bit smelly!  I have arranged for him to get a nice bath at Pet Smart the day before!

well good for your son for kicking the jackarse out!  A dog is much more loyal than that =o)  He will make a very handsome groomsman, and the crowd will adore it
