Depending on how you are doing your RSVP cards, you could have the majority of it printed by the pros (design, RSVP date, etc), and have them leave a blank area in the middle for you to print at home an RSVP card for each invitation the name of each person on that invitation and a check box for whether they will attend.

Here is an example from another bee:

So, in this case, you could have the “RSVP”, “Kindly respond by”, “choice of meal includes”, and “Accepts/declines” pre-prionted on the cards, leaving a blank space for a varying number of invitees and checkboxes.

I hope you know what I mean, as I am having a little trouble explaining myself. It would be extra work, but adds a very personal ouch, and people should be unable to add random guests (as is the purpose of “we have reserved _ seats in your honor”).

I wish we had included this! (We had a lot of write ins and I had to awkwardly call people and explain that they couldn’t bring a random date unless they were in a relationship) I agree with “We have reserved ___ seats for you.”

Ginger, I am doing something like yours, to emphasize to people not only the number of seats, but that the invitation is non-transferable.

We put:

___ of ___ will be attending

 ___ decline with regrets.

I filled in the second blank to let them know how many were invited in their party.  I wanted something like that since we aren’t having small children and some family members aren’t getting dates if they don’t have a serious bf/gf since they will have plenty of family to hang out with at the wedding.  I haven’t sent them out yet so *fingers crossed* this prevents any confusion.

@beachbride1216:  Thanks! It’s not mine, it was posted long ago by another bee, but I am definitely planning on doing this!
