This made me think of my days as a waiting bee! I was watching tv and a commercial came on for a show. It showed a couple (not married/engaged) at a wedding, and the newly married couple walks up to them and says:
“So, when are you guys getting married?”
and he said:
“I dunno, when are you guys getting divorced?”
lol! I died laughing and had to share

@memo: Fantastic! FI (then BF) once responded “When she stops calling it ‘pop’ and uses the word ‘soda.'” Everyone got a good chuckle out of that.

I used to make up a fake wedding date (June 31). It would catch people off guard and then they’d be distracted and quit bugging me.
My husband used to tell people he’d marry me when I improved my golf game.

my go to answer used to be when he asked me…but my wise Nanna said I should just say “soon”.

@ArtDecoDC: lol are you Canadian?

I generally just respond with “eventually”. Gets my point across that I’m not entirely thrilled that I’ll probably be waiting 6 more years to get married.

@memo: Nope! I’m actually from Ohio. FI is from New Jersey/New York. We don’t see eye to eye on that word…

@ArtDecoDC: I’m with FI-it’s definitely soda 🙂
These responses to that stupid question are hilarious! I usually just give a blank stare lol

Well I’m 4’8 and my BF is 6’2 so when we get asked that question is quick and smart response is always “when she reaches 5′ I would marry her!” LOL He is such a fool for that tho – and my 5 inch heals dont make the cut either 🙁
