For some reason I can’t upload the image of it…but we’re using a box that’s made entirely of mirrors and then has hanging rhinestones around it.

coffeedrinker:

I love the mailbox look, you can always make it more rustic looking with paint but here is an image from online

Or something like this with a wooden box from Michaels/Local Craft Store (not sure where you are located) and make it rustic looking

Mez03:  I think you misunderstood. She doesn’t want rustic. She’s looking for elegant and classic.

I’m having this trouble too, I want something different to birdcages… Everyone seems to be doing birdcages!

Mine is just a box from Michael’s. They have tons of pretty designs that changes with the seasons. Mine was less than $10 because I used one of their 40% off coupons.

Ohh, I have the same problem!  I’ve never seen the vase idea for a card box.  I think that would be really elegant.  Has anyone seen it topped with anything other than flowers?  (I like the flowers, just curious if there are other iterations out there).

I’m using a lantern I found at Ikea. I couldn’t justify spending a boatload of money on it, but I wasn’t wild about the rustic looking stuff either. I’ll probably use the lantern on my porch after the wedding. This is the one I bought: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70156111/

Try searching pinterest for “elegant card box.”  Pinterest is really useful and not everything on there is so “Pinteresty”
