So my cousin, one of her buddies and I (all 20s and RNs) are going next March to Guatamala for a week to help in a rural clinic for the Maya in a tiny village out in the bush. Sooooo excited. We have one, maybe one and a half days in Antigua at the end of the trip and need suggestions about what we can do. We are going with a group so not sure how much say we have in activities but we can ask. Os the things I have found are just wandering the central square and market, hiking a volcano or a chocolate making class wher you get to do everything after the beans are off the tree to make your own bar. Anyone have any experiences on things to do for on day? Keeping in mind we will have been working long all day clinics and roughing it the prior days so not something totally exhausting. We won’t be alone, speak some Spanish but not much and don’t want to blow a huge amount of money. Thanks.
