Fellow school Bees… I need a calming voice. 🙁
I stress out a lot. I’m in kinesiology, and lately most of these topics we’re doing I just can’t wrap my brain around them… I barely chugged through last semesters KNES, now I need this one to do my program.
And the past few days I just CANNOT seem to sit down and study… Any tips? 🙁

@Haruyou: Are you getting some fresh air and exercise? I find that helps me concentrate.

@julies1949: Yes, I do. 🙁 I just… am at the point where I can’t seem to care… but when I get a test back that’s a failure, I panick. Yet, I cannot seem to study…

@Haruyou: What year are you in? I would simplly tell myself that I wasn’t going to waste all the time and money I had aready put into the program.
You have a choice to do the work now, or fail and have to do it all over again.

@Haruyou: as for your major, maybe you can find another avenue similar to kinesiology that is less demanding?
If you want to stick it out, how much longer do you have? I have been in school for 4 years and am currently in my last semester. So many times I am burnt out, I don’t want to study etc. I procrastinate, doing anything possible but study or write papers. One thing that helps is talking to others in my program. I also will peruse the net looking at things I want to do or buy someday….vacation spots, expensive clothing or furniture. I think about being able to help care for my family and have financial stability for retirement.
All those things help me push past the rough patches.
I also have a set schedule every week including study times. When I have to study at home I reward myself with one of my favorite snacks and a soda (which I don’t eat or drink otherwise). If I go to the library I reward myself with a specialty coffee from my favorite cafe.
Ya know, its the little things.

The time you spend in school is a drop in the bucket compared to the lifetime of a great career you’ll have. Just keep truckin’ and you’ll be fine!! It’s all about perspective 🙂 Work hard now, play hard later
