kimmo416:  well personally i have not mailed it but i did have similar fears about it getting lost when the store sent our chosen diamond to scott kay to have the setting made for it it took four weeks and it came back looking lovely!! It will be ok safety wise but i could not imagine not wearing it for three weeks!

kimmo416:  I didn’t mail mine as you did, but I had to drop my ring at the jewelry store Friday to get reset as well (right before our engagement party that happened Saturday!).  I have been feeling a little naked without it, which is odd because I don’t even wear it all the time (I don’t wear it around the house, working out, etc.)  I will post a photo of what it did look like (sorry if it is a huge photo!)- it will be reset into a pave halo setting and I think it’s so strange that in 3 weeks, it will look completely different!

I just got mine easter and I hadn’t seen mine since just after I picked it out in October. I had huge withdraws and even nightmares that when my Fiancé went to get it out it was gone and sold to someone else who could pay in full instead of payments Lol.

Mine just got put in the mail to get sent back also!! Glad someone else is in the same boat and to hear some positive things about doing it this way! I’m sure it’ll turn out great! And yes, it sucks not wearing it – I have a stand in on just so I have something on my finger, but it’s not the same as my baby!! Good Luck! Post a picture when you get it back in all its glory!!

kimmo416:  such things are always a worry! Im without my ring at the moment as I sent it in the mail to the jewellers for polishing. The highest mail insurance wasnt high enough so it was kind of a chance sending it but i guess it is less of a worry as it arrived the next day and was fully tracked. Should hopefully get it back tomorrow!

My ring is an heirloom and was mailed to us, it took about a week and a half. It went perfectly. It’s beautiful. I have no insurance on it yet.

kimmo416:  thank you, me too. Especially since our jeweler was a costumer of my fiance’s so because of all the work he’s done for him in the past the jeweler gave him a once in a lifetime price plus aloud him to make payments of whatever he wanted, add often as he wanted and to take as long as he wanted to pay it off. After a six month wait I would of been heartbroken if it was should from under us.

kimmo416:  Thanks! Yes, you absolutely should. What a nice way to celebrate the return of your ring.
