((Hugs)) It's getting close, I'm sure I'll be nervous too when I am in your shoes. Don't stress out. As for the caterer, since you have a contract, she shouldn't be able to add fees you haven't already agreed to. Just be firm and have your contract in hand. It will be fine.
Maybe just get them to confirm it in writing? May give you a bit more security than the verbal assurance.
I agree with jhphi, it would be good to get this in writing from them. I've organised quite a few events and I've learned to follow my instincts if I get a bad feeling.
I'd drop them an email and say hi, just to confirm the conversation we just had, this is what we're paying for in advance, this is what we'll be billed for after the event, and the only extra charges for which we would be liable after the event are what would be incurred if we went over 4 hours.
Good luck!
Oh yes, get everything in writing! I'm sure I'll be stressed too at that point. In fact, I'm sure every bride/groom is stressed but that point! Everything will get taken care of, try to enjoy!

I am really anxious tonight. Not sure completely why. Part of what is stressing me out id dealing with the caterer- they keep trying to tack on extra fees. We signed a contract, but I just have this feeling they are going to tack on an extra service charge to the bar fees. They gave me the total for food (plus service fees, plus fees per hour for the waitstaff, plus tax), and we are paying for the bartender. We are paying per glass of pop and alcohol. I asked if there were any other fees, she said the only ones would be if we go over the four hour minimum. I just know after the wedding we are going to get the bar bill plus the bartender fee plus and extra 15%. I have to give headcount this week and pay balance minus the bar bill, and it is really stressing me out. Am I losing my bridal mind?
