Nobody else purchased Modern Trousseau Wedding Dresses this year? Hmmmm now I'm worried 
I have yet to hear her dresses mentioned on this website or board. lol
Hi! Tia was one of my top choices but I ended up going with a LaSposa that was similar but had a simpler skirt. They had the one-shoulder flower detail in common. Not sure if MT would be able to do this, but LaSposa was willing to sell me some extra of the flower trip from the shoulder strap, and I am having a couple flowers made into a hair clip and doing a low off-center updo with the flowers. The flowers on mine are also quite small, so I am also making two little flowers into shoe clips!
As for the veil -- I'm going for a very light, one-layer, cathedral length. No blusher for me -- I don't want anything between me and my wedding! :)

Glad there is atleast one bride out there that has heard of TIA from the Modern Trousseau Collection. Your wedding outfit sounds perfect, great ideas! Love the flower idea!
Now I'm super interested in checking out this LaSposa dress you speak of but I'm afraid if I do I'll have regrets about Tia, haha. Sounds beautiful though!!

@April_Fools_Bride: Here are a couple pics of my LaSposa for you (on me). It's impossible to post a link to it on the LaSposa website but if you want to look it up, go to www.splasposa.com and search for "Damasco." I'd be interested ot know what you think! It was really a tough decision for me between Tia and Damasco, but in the end I got basically the same feeling from both and I decided to go with the less pricey one. Honestly, though, Tia is an amazing dress!! You will be a beautiful bride in it. I forgot how stunning the back was until I saw your post and went back and looked it up again -- love the way the angles are and how low it dips. Gorgeous!

@April_Fools_Bride: Oh, and a PS -- another thing I loved about Tia that Damasco didn't have was the sweetheart neckline -- but I'm having my Damasco modified. :) I'm starting to feel a little dress envy, actually!
Lindseymagen I LOVE LOVE LOVE your dress! It is BEYOND beautiful! I completly understand what you mean about price though. I would have never ever ever purchased the TIA dress on my own. I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on but as SOON as they told me the price I quickly started asking for other options.
My Father was at my appointment and when he asked me why I didn't pick the TIA dress if I loved it so much.. I admitted that it was the price. Being the sweet Daddy that he is he told me that's it, TIA is my dress and handed the bridal salon his credit card. Haha, so it was really by sweet luck. ;)
Your dress is seriously beautiful though. I understand how you fell in love with both styles. I simply ADORE the one shoulders and flowers. I think both our dresses will be a hit.
I LOVE modern trousseau. I actually purchased Wallis (the first dress above Tia). I can't wait until it comes in!
Jenziela, that was my second favorite from her line! Actually I have to admit... it is kind of my first but the Bridal Salon I was at didn't offer that style. They only had TIA from her new line and a couple from another season.
Do you have any pictures of the WALLIS dress on you?! Lucky girl to pick such an amazing dress! :)
Tia! I would love to try on a Modern Trousseau dress. I live in Miami and I am unable to find a store that sells it here. I found a store in Boca Raton that may carry it but it's not on their website. It looks like I will have to take a trip to try it on. : )

April Fools Bride- I JUST bought Tia yesterday!!!!
Thing is, it isnt this seasons. I cant find it anywhere online so i have no idea what season it is!! Its driving me nuts! After I fell in love with the dress in the store, i looked all over the internet for it and couldnt find it. I saw 2011 Tia online, and it looked so similar but mine is strapless. When I bought the dress yesterday, I saw that it infact was "tia".
If anyone knows what season this dress is, let me know, I guess it doesnt matter im just curious.

I don't have a photo of me in the dress :( the salon wouldn't allow anyone to take photos in the dresses unfortunately. but they said once mine comes in hopefully by april I can take all the photos I want. I modified wallis a bit by changing the color of the sash to match my bridal party.
@ FlynPig3 - YOUR TIA DRESS LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! So happy to FINALLY find another TIA bride! There are not many around, but I think it may be due to the fact that TIA is a hard dress to find in stores and it's price.
Seriously though, you look beautiful! Also, TIA is from the SPRING 2011 Collection. It comes in two styles, Strapless and with one Shoulder Strap (That has anoher flower). When I got my wedding dress I was looking for dresses that had one strap only. At my appointment they asked me if I would like to take the strap off I could. So your able to add the strap if you'd like Flynpig but I think the dress looks perfect on you as is!
It's such a nice classic and fun style, nothing too busy. After seeing my wedding dress on you I am now so glad I got it!! :)
Keep me updated! I'd love to see how you tie everything together with your TIA dress, hair and veil etc.

Yay for Modern Trousseau Brides!
I tried on a MT dress in the Fall 2010 collection (autumn) but ended up going with a Pronovias dress. LOVE their Spring '11 collection though! Makes me wish I had waited to buy!! Congrats on your beautiful dress.
Ahh thank you for the kind words April Fools Bride :) :) Only my fam has seen it on me, so it's nice to hear such a positive outside opinion. I feel a little relieved lol. this is the first time ive gone on any of these wedding forums- i guess i should do it more often lol!!
I had no idea about the two styles... how did you find out? Ive been searching for info all over the internet, and it didnt mention that on the MT website, and they didnt tell me at the store either!! I wanted sweetheart strapless anyway but i still feel out of the loop! lol

@Flyinpig3- I'm shocked why they did not even tell you that at the store or offer it. That is one of the first things they told me when I purchased the dress. They had just had a Modern Trousseau Trunk Show so TIA was the featured dress. The strapless TIA is PERFECT for you though and I think it is stunning on your body! I'm curious if you are petite as well? I found TIA to be great on smaller girls.. I'm just about 5'1.

Ahh the dress looks so good on you as well!!!! I love the shoulder strap for you. Im actually not petite-- im 5'6, but I thought it worked well for my because my torso is a little small compared to my long legs- so the dress sorta elongated my torso and evened me out. but i agree i think it makes you look taller. You look gorgeous- it is such a flattering dress :)

I tried on a MT dress over the weekend. It was a little pricey, but I'm going back this weekend with the future in-laws (my family is too far away). I think I'm just going to go ahead and get it. LOVED it!!!

To any of you brides who have your wedding early this year and bought Tia: do you think that any of you will be willing to sell it after your wedding??? I am thinking of having Tia be my reception/party dress for my November 2011 wedding, but don't think I want to pay the full price for it. Any suggestions???

I"m deff looking to sell my TIA dress after my April 1st 2011 wedding!
I'm pretty small though, so it would be perfect for a petite bride. I'm 5'1 and my one shoulder Tia Dress is a size 4.
I absolutely love the Wallis! I just started looking at gowns and I was wondering about how much a Modern Trousseau costs. I'm not looking for specifics, but I'm a bride on a budget and can spend 3500 on my dress. Will I get a good selection for that?Thanks!
Ladies, you look gorgeous! Modern Trousseau is so incredible and Callie is one of the most talented designers. I was actually the first one to order the TIA dress in April 2010!!!! I opted for the sweetheart - instead of the one shoulder, but I think they both look great! Congrats to all of you!!!

I bought the wallis dress after I fell in love with it when I saw it on the martha stewart weddings webpage. I got it for I believe $3400, including the sash, which I think it 300 or 400, but I also had a 10% discount for the trunk show. But if your budget is 3500, go for it. Its a beautiful dress and I cant wait to wear it! I'm also going to have my flower girls where tutus because I think it would look cute with the wallis dress :o)

I just adore the Modern Trousseau gowns. I am considering ordering Elsa and just learned that it could be made in pink blush, including the tulle at the bottom. So excited. They are pricey.....

I simply adore Modern Trousseau's 2011 Spring Collection!! So much that I purchased the "TIA" gown for my wedding! Modern & Fun yet Classic & Beautiful!
Had a hard time finding dresses that fit my petite and curvy body but this fitted one shoulder dress is light, fun and was the perfect size for me.Plus I'm really into the flowers on the dress. Any Idea's what to do with my hair or veil? Add more flowers anywhere?
Any other Brides who are wearing or have worn Modern Trousseau? Anyone else interested in her collections?
