Our wedding isn’t until October 2014, but we are HIGHLY considering the Tropicana.

@MrsN2Be:  Let us know how the wedding goes because the pics and packages look amazing!

I am getting married September 12th and will be there till the 15th ! I am staying at the Mirage bc i love the pool there and it was very middle of the line price wise but a very nice hotel.

I am still looking around for where to have it because the Mirage is really over priced for such a small wedding we are having (4-6 people).

Any ideas of cheaper cermony hotels ? That way we have more money for the dinner after and fun all week.

I recommend checking out Chapel of the Flowers – it’s an elegant and traditional wedding chapel in Vegas and has a variety of packages and chapels to choose from. I am biased because I work there, but it’s just beautiful and the photographers there are so talented! It’s also won several “Best Of” awards over the past few years, so it’s not just me. LOL. There is also a fair amount of Bees on here that have married at COF or are planning one currently.

For your room, what is your budget like for that timeframe? I haven’t stayed in too many places being a local, but I have stayed at Venetian and Aria, which both have great rooms. I also had a friend that recently stayed at Mandalay Bay and she mentioned that the MGM Grand beds are more comfortable!

Congratulations and best of luck with your planning!

@chicbride14:  That definitely gives you some nice wiggle room! I think Aria may be in your budget. I also asked this on our facebook page and a lot of our brides love The Mirage which is also in your budget. Keep in mind where on the Strip a place is located as that can help with traveling, etc. Hope that helps and best of luck!

We got married last month at Canyon Gate Country Club. What type of vibe are you looking for?  I wanted a more traditional wedding vibe so I looked at venues off the strip.  I actually took a trip to Vegas to visit over ten venues.  I think the Westin and M Resort were good options for poolside ceremonies.  We didn’t like the space at Vdara even though we love the hotel.  The chapels at Paris, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, the Venetian, and other on strip hotels are pretty cool.

We stayed at Vdara but did room blocks at Vdara, Stratosphere, and La Quinta.  We were looking at a room block at JW Marriott but they had an attrition clause.  I really couldn’t guarantee my friends and family would stay there even though it’s closest to the venue.  I ended up having guests stay at the hotels I did room blocks at plus the Palms, Venetian, Monte Carlo, Aria, Paris, and time shares.

We haven’t booked our flights/rooms either even tho some of our guests have.  We are having a ceremony at Ceasar’s, dinner in the Venetian, afterparty back at Caesar’s.

We knew we wanted to go the casino/hotel route.  I pciked my ceremony by going through all the packages and determining which I liked best.  From there we chose the chapels we thought were nice and decided from there.  There are too many options.
