There are so much good 4th of july wedding stuff out there! I JUST saw a post on a blog recently with beautiful ideas that weren't so typical. I wish i knew what it was! I'll keep thinkin where i saw it . .
my bday is july 2nd.. here are some pix that i actually did for a july 4 wedding theme (it soo reminded me of what i'd want)....
you could definitely do sparklers for your guests! and maybe even do the fun foods... where is your venue could you arrange to have fireworks or to be near enough for the city's fireworks if the city has them... also does your venue have a roof or a lawn space that you could maybe spread out blankets on like a 4th of july picnic? perhaps you could also do a 4th of july brunch for your guests that traveled from out of town as well the day after your wedding (on the 4th)
Venue has kind of nicer, more gormet foods. But I was thinking of doing sparcklers instead of rice or bubbles, trying to do red and white flowers for the boquets with this AWESOME blue ribbon I found. But a little torn on like reception center pieces and what not. The place has like white chair covers and white napkins, but need more color to get away from all that white!
Also, Ms. Brew, for sure if you remember the post let me know! Would greatly appreciate it!
@KT:what colors are you thinking? you could do a white with gold accents and have it more of a sparkley reception versus a red white and blue which may look too chitzy...
The blog post was from Miss. Poodle! She is having a 4th of July style rehearsal dinner (as she is immigrating to the US!)
It's a pretty fabulous idea & it looks awesome!
This is the post I wrote, just in case you want to read it, the bad part is that there's a lot of flags on there LOL
and RecessionistaBride youre so sweet! :)
@crebre, well it more or less falls in to have lit. Red white and blue. Before the wedding date was set, I was stuck on my bridesmaids having Red dresses. I just like Red, now because of the date I think the GM will be in Blue, with my wedding dress being White I want to stick with white, even though I would love to have a Vintage style Americana wedding, but think it will throw it off with my white dress to have Ivory or the vintage faded white!
Hi,
Would you like to use vintage stamps for your invite? I have Red, White & Blue Americana vintage stamps - US Postal Service, the Space Program, the landing of the Pilgrims, etc. That would be great for your invites!!

Hey Bee's! Iam having a 3rd of July wedding, and seeing that I am stealing everyone away for there 4th of July weekend I want to throw some festive 4th of July theme like things in. On top of that my FI and I ar Active duty military, have a Military family so they are all Patriotic and what not. But...I have a hard time thinking of ideas to do or decorate and what not. Is anyone else having a 4th of July wedding, if so what are you all doing or do you have any ideas! Its just hard to throw all three colors in and not be tacky and look like the flag threw up on my wedding.
