Hey ladies! I think I’ve exhausted my google searching on this, so thought I’d ask you all since you many of you seem to be well versed all things TTC.
Long story short, I went off birth control pills about 6 months ago in hopes of conceiving as soon as possible, but didn’t expect my body to react the way it has (oh dear god the acne/screwy periods/shrinking boobs!!!). I had one “normal” period after 32 days and didn’t see it again for several months until I finally asked my doctor for some progesterone to force AF. Anyway, I have been temp charting, checking for cervical mucos, using OPKs this whole time and have has ZERO signs off ovulation after stopping the pill.
Yesterday, on my daily search for cervical mucus (sorry if TMI), I thought for the first time I had what appeared like it could definitely be egg white consistency but didn’t want to get too excited. Then, I did an OPK this morning and got the picture below. I know it doesn’t look quite positive, but this is the first thing that has been even remotely close to one in the past six months for me. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but do OPKs get gradually darker as you get closer to O and maybe I can expect a positive one soon? Or is this pretty meaningless..
I know OPKs tend to work best if testing in the afternoon so I’m hoping to get a clear positive later today, but would be so very grateful for any other opinions on this, because the last six months have been beyond stressful and I was beginning to believe I would never see a single sign of ovulation.
Thanks in advance! 🙂
