Have you considered having the ceremony at the restaurant as well?
@inlove0109: Are there any local community parks? You might be able to get a permit to use the park space very inexpensively.
DH and I got married in an outdoor space owned by the public library. The fee for the space was $500 and it included all the chairs and chair set up labor as well.
Try posting this in the Arizone board also :)
I'm not familiar with your area but are there any public parks nearby? My friend had a short ceremony (about 25 minutes) at a beautiful park outside and she just had to make a donation to the town to use it.
Good luck!
I would try and look for someplace indoors since your date is this June...HOT! Are you religious or do you attend a church where you can have your ceremony?! There are some really neat buildings downtown too that aren't traditional wedding sites...maybe you can contact some of them about using their place for just your ceremony! There is also the botanical gardens or maybe one of the museums down there? The Tucson Zoo also uses their facility for weddings...those kind of places could be really unique!
PS- I am from Tucson but just recently moved up to Phoenix. Good luck!
@GroovyHippieChick: I have but I really can't wrap my mind around how it would look haveing both. Have you ever been to a wedding like this?

Having just finished researching and choosing a venue I hope that my experience can help you make your choice... Hope I'm not too late to help!
First, there's the Botanical Gardens. They're not especially "cheap" but it's beautiful, and depending on which room you pick it could be as low as $600 (plus other add-ons you might want later).

If you aren't too worried about tradition, there's also the Reid Park Zoo.

And last, but certainly not least, is a link to the Tucsonaz.gov site wedding section. This has many listings for outside locations (except the Golf clubhouses). You might see if any of this fits your idea of a beautiful, happy wedding.

Hi I'm new to this site but after reading all the helpful info I'm sure you all can be of assistance to me! I'm in Tucson Az I'm trying to plan a unique, fun wedding. I can not find a ceremony location that is within reason! I have a friend that works at a beautiful restruant/ bar which is where I'm going to hold my reception. So my question is does anyone have a inexpensive ideas to have a ceremony. We are on an extremly tight budget due to me recently finding out I have lupus and right now I am not working. Any advice is good advice! I know it's hard to have the wedding you dream of on a limited budget BUT I'm sure it can happen. All I need is some direction!
