I’m an AF spouse. We like the change our lifestyle has brought. Getting to live in places we might not have otherwise. The AF treats it’s people good. The only trouble we have had was when I got moved out to him the moving company wouldn’t come for two weeks, and it took a bit of time for us to get all our back pay and our BAS started. We both miss our families that’s the main down fall, not getting to see them as much. Insurance is awesome! And the people that makes up community where we are are nice. I like it and so does my husband πŸ™‚

@futureairmanswife: Hi! My fiance is leaving for COT training in Alabama this coming Tuesday. I am dreading being without him for 4 weeks and do not know what to expect from being an Air Force wife next July. I have heard great things about the air force branch. Where are you located in Northern California?

I think I wrote back to the wrong post before. Oops. πŸ˜› My fiance is commissioned and is leaving for COT training on Tuesday. Where are you located? What have you planned for your wedding so far? Is he going to wear his uniform?

@College: How long have you been an AFwife? I’m only 5 months in and only did a move to his tech school (1.5years!!!) but I don’t know what to expect once he’s done with training.

@mollichristine: sorry I took so long to respond. My husband started in November, so I havent been in that long either. He has gone to 2 training sessions so far and has one he still needs to go to. But at least this one is at his home base so he wont be gone for a long time. So far it seems, except for the trainings, to be like a normal m-f job in regards to how it effects me. When he is not at trainings he gets his weekends off/ only goes into work from 7-4:30, so its nice πŸ™‚
