@wanabeabee:  I’m wearing an Alfred Sung dress for an upcoming wedding.

Honestly, I thought it was too expensive for polyester dresses, though the price of my dress ended up being $300 with taxes, not counting alterations, because Canada sucks. The peu de soi (sp?) looks cheap but that’s the only fabric that came in the right colour.

We could have gotten cheaper silk dresses on sale at JCrew, but the bride was insistent on white 50s style structured dresses.

I tried them on for a wedding, but we all found the fit to be a little odd, with the waists being too long.  Cute dresses though!  We ended up going with simple silhouettes (now out of business)

@wanabeabee:  i may be wearing an AS dress in an upcoming wedding. if you get on Weddington Way some of the dresses have ‘real life’ photos with them from girls that have bought them. we’re considering dupioni, and while i dont necessarily like it as a fabric i think the dresses are cute 🙂

My bridesmaids will wear Alfred Sung, so obviously, I’m a fan 🙂

Of all the options we tried on, this fit the feel of the wedding the best, and i found the dresses flattering. We’re going peau de soie since it’s a summer wedding, but the dupioni is more luxurious (it was just too heavy). I liked how many styles there were to choose from, so everyone got a unique dress.

We’ll order through Weddington Way, who will give each dress a 10% discount if you have more than 3 maids! Honestly, there was also a decent price range on WW too, so some dresses were closer to $120, and some closer to $200… so everyone made the right decision for herself on her dress.  Good luck!

My girls are wearing the dupioni in mosaic! We don’t have them yet, but when they tried them on at the store, they looked great! I love the styles Alfred Sung has and they have pockets! My girls are happy and they were all around $160.
