I am down 6 pounds and want to lose between 10-20 pounds more. I gained 40 pounds in the last two years and I want to be(e) at least 20 less before the big day.
Any bees who want to lose a bit, too? How do you keep yourself motivated? I just got in my first size 10 pants for a year, but I want to go on!

@anni_bride: I hope to! I’m not overweight, but I’d like to flatten my tummy and tone up my arms and lose 5-10 lbs. I’m having a hard time motivating to run much now that it’s cold and dark… I’ve been doing Jillian Michaels videos, but I should probably join the gym again. I eat pretty healthily at home, so I’m just trying not eat out much or drink too much (hello empty calories!).
Congrats on fitting into your pants! Are you doing a combo of diet and exercise? Remember that diet has a bigger influence over weight loss than exercise, even though exercise is obviously important for a lot of reasons…

I also plan on loosing a little but more concerned with toning arms for the dress and stomach and legs for the honeymoon 🙂 I haven’t been very motivated lately either but after the holidays FI and I are going back to the gym.

I am not trying to lose weight per se, but trying to lose fat and tone up. As I told my friend the other day, I’m very squishy >.<** Really what helps the most is that FI is also trying to do the same, so it’s been super helpful to workout with him. We don’t have a whole lot of time after or before work though, so if we end up having something to do, that interferes with working out a lot :/

I am! I am not going by a scale though. I am eating better cut out soda and am now starting workouts (slowly easing myself into it lol)

I’m starting in January. I’ve put on at least 20 lbs this summer (on my already chunky frame) and I really need to slim down if I want to still fit into my dress!
Luckily, my MOH has a plan and is holding me accountable.

ME me me . I gained 10-12 pounds this summer. None of my pants fit anymore and it’s disheartening to say the least. I’d like to lose 8-10 of what I gained and that’s more than do-able. If I start in January and have a goal to lose it by July 1st (at the very latest) then that’s 6 whole months–or 1.5-1.75 pounds a month. Less than 250 calorie deficit per day (if you’re a calorie counter).
TOTALLY doable! I’m going to try to behave myself this month and not gain anymore. Then I’m hitting it hard (okay-not REALLY hard but moderately hard. lol).

@lawbride88: You go girl! I’ve lost 10 pounds and could order a size 12 in my dress on Saturday (was a size 14 before). I want to lose at least 10-20 more so the dress can be altered into a size 10!!!

Would definitely like to lose a few for my June wedding! I have tried Jillian Michaels but didn’t really see very good results and actually injured myself.
My favorite toning workouts are Winsor Pilates and Billy Blanks bootcamp!
If any of you are looking to diet, you should get a free calorie tracker. I have the free myfitnesspal app on my iphone, but there are plenty to chose from!

About 6 months ago I was on a weight loss kick and lost about 8 pounds, but have gained it back since then. I just started going to the gym again though as I would like to lose 15-20 pounds by my wedding in August. Ive been playing basketball at the YMCA for excercise as I cannot step on another treadmill, I get bored too fast with it and never want to go back. But playing basketball has been a GREAT workout and I have a blast and actually want to keep going. Working out can be fun 🙂

You guys can totally do it!! There is still so much time!! I went from 235 to 165 (wish I had lost about 20 lbs more…but oh well!!!). I also used the myfitnesspal app to track calories and exercise. I stuck to 1400-1500 calories a day and worked out 4-5x a week for about 75 minutes. I wish I had focused more on arm weights to tone up a bit :/ Good luck guys!!

I have been trying to get back into the habit of going to the gym at least every other day and eating a little bit more healthy. I am not heavy by any means, but would feel so much more comfortable if I lost about 10 pounds and toned my arms, back and stomach before my August 3rd wedding! I did good last week at working out, but have not done too good this week so far. I know that once I regularly start working out, it will not take too long for me to be at my goal weight. I love how I feel after I workout but the hard part is getting to the gym! Hopefully I can keep it up!

Oh, definitely me.
I’m petite and 5’3, so I really should not weigh what I currently weight (appx. 145.) I know that doesn’t make me obese, but it’s more weight than my short frame can carry without looking just a tad… round and a little chubby.
I am definitely planning to lose 20 – 25 before the wedding to get back to where I was until I had surgery, took steroids and gained 30 pounds a couple years ago. I have tried to lose before, but never with too much success. In fact, I joined WW a few months ago, tracked religiously, and GAINED!
I decided the issue isn’t that I am overeating, but more that I am eating food that isn’t the best for my body. Starting about two weeks ago, I gave up alcohol, caffeine, sugar and processed carbs. I guess it’s a little like paleo. 🙂 In that short two weeks, I’m down like 12 pounds and 3 belt notches! I’m going dress shopping tonight, so I guess I’ll really know how much I’m down if my size has changed.
Besides the healthier eating, I am using Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, as well as yoga and pilates classes.
Any other suggestions?
