@bridetobe7844: hi :) our plans are pretty much all set, just got to find the boys some decent looking suits and hope my dress comes in looking good (hopefully minimal alterations) - otherwise all the big important stuff is set :)

    How are your plans going?

Hi, Yep coming along, have a few things to do before the end of the month:

    Buy our wedding rings

Check out a few suit places and

    Order our stationery.

So pleased there's another Perth bride on the bee. :)

There is another one and on the same date as me too but I can't remember their name :) I was just excited to see Perth and my date beside theirs hahaha

We got our wedding rings online, just because I found the shops around here didn't really have what we wanted. Or they were out of our budget - SOs ring was over $2500 in a shop in Leederville, we got it online from weddingbands.com for just under $700 so we were definitely happy haha

The suits are going to be an issue I think... We so didn't think about how much they were going to be realistically - plus the party is all over the place :) we'll figure it out even if we have to get their OHs to measure them and we sort out the suits here :)

OMG $2500, good on you for finding what you wanted at such a great price. Yeh I think I'll have fun trying to get the groomsmen all together and suited up. You know what boys are like. Oh the joys of planning a wedding. :) Just saw your wedding date July, awesome, I love winter weddings!! Were are you getting married? We are having our ceremony at Saint Marys Cathedral and the reception at the Hyatt in the grand ballroom.

Hi all. I'm actually moving to perth soon and planning my wedding from there for elsewhere. Will probably do invites and other details there. Perhaps even get my dress there! Would love some recomendations!

Shall we organize a meet up sometime? Best luck to all!

Wow bit more action since I last checked out this post :)

I have 4 months, 3 weeks to go and starting to get a little worried we won't get it all finished in time eeek!

We're getting married at the Pagoda hotel in Como. Being winter we hope it doesn't pour down the whole time as we want jetty photos on the swan :)

@bridetobe7844:  St Mary's Cathedral is gorgeous would've loved to get married there but we are having a small wedding so it wouldn't have worked :S so jealous hehe... FI and I actually walked to the cathedral on our first date.

@ShellVee:  Hello date twin! Was I the person you saw with the same date? I understand your concern with the weather... We are getting married in margs so I know it will be freezing. Fingers crossed we have another dry winter (not good for the dams, but good for my wedding!)

@Bears-bub: yep you're the one I spotted before :) how is the venue organisation going? I remember commenting on a post of yours a week or so ago :)

I agree I don't need an entirely dry winter but a dry july could work :)

You honeymooning in margs too? FI doesn't know it (cos I have been sneaky and won't tell him where we are going) but we are honeymooning in margs :)

@Tash:  I definitely don't envy your job of trying to organise a wedding from Canada... Do you have family and friends checking things out for you? You were from Perth originally? If so guess you would have an idea of what is about anyway :)

@ShellVee:  we are not really having a honeymoon, we are down there for a week, but we are staying in a large house with our attendants so it's not really a romantic getaway. A year ago (wow, it's been a year!) we went to Europe and we are planning on going again next year so it will be a belated honeymoon/first anniversary.

Venue organising is sorted. Old plans were cancelled and new location has been booked. Both of us are so much happier with the change... It's costing a bit more, but it's worth it in the end

@Bears-bub:  Aaaah that's fair enough FI & I are hoping to do a big trip (possibly Europe) before we have a family but we knew we couldn't do wedding and a trip this year so fingers crossed once wedding is over we can organise our trip :)

I am glad things have been sorted... Lucky for it being a wedding "off season" so you were able to find somewhere else :)

I made them. I live 4hrs away from Starfish Lanes.. so was a little bit limited! But I got my paper from Officeworks. Was super easy to do. Designed them on photoshop and DIY print at home :)

Thanks ladies - I will check out starfish lane....I don't trust myself with DIY!!! I did my best friends wedding invites and thank you cards etc and I think it has well and truly put me off, it took DAYS!!!

@aussiebee:  Starfish lane is good, there is also Wren Press. If you really want to go all out for your invites you can check out Crystal Chandellier in tasmania, she is brillant, has won lots of awards, will do a design just for you and posts products all over the world. I used her and couldn't be happier!! Her website is below:

@aussiebee: I'm glad I'm not the only one! :) I've only heard good things about starfish lane - my SIL ordered from them at short notice and her invites were stunning. Basically they printed the components of the invitation and enclosures and she assembled them. She said that if starfish lane were to put them together it would have upped the cost. A lot. At the moment I'm tossing up between Starfish Lane and a US site called cards & pockets. Just got samples from them (which shipped free!) and I really like the quality of the card stock. But they require a bit more DIY. Have a look though, I found them through a recommendation on Weddingbee.

@Bride7844:  & @alytwentyfour:  thanks ladies! I actually went into Starfish Lane on Saturday just gone and I walked out without one single person in there acknowledging me....I looked at the bridal examples for ages, walked around and nothing....they weren't busy just talking amongst themselves. I liked some of their designs but that has really put me off. I just think if you can't even acknowlege a potential customer then they obviously don't want my busines! I'm getting to the point now though, where I can't be picky!!! I am going to check out Wren Press though...will also check out Cards & Pockets and Crystal Chandelier! Thanks again!
