OK I love seeing everyone in their dresses and there are petite brides and tall brides and full figured brides.
I am average - I am 5'5" tall and I currently wear between a size 6 or 8 depending on who makes it. I will be back down to a size 4 by the wedding but that is another story lol . . .
I would love to see those of you who are btw 5'4 - 5'8 and size medium - it is hard to picture what the average person looks like - we are not dainty fairies or tall goddesses - help me visualize

I'm not quite 5'4" and 160 pounds. My dress was a size 12 but I probably could have gone up to a 14. Not sure if i'm average or a little "above average :P" but here is me.
I'm about 5'5 and a size 8-10/medium. Here's what the dress looked like in the dress shop.

Here are pictures of my average self! I'm about 5'5" and a size 4 on top and 6 on bottom (street size) and my dress was an Allure size 10.
I'm a bit on the tall side, but I'll still share. I'm a little over 5'8 and I'm a street size 8-10 (about 140lbs).

here's me :) i'm about 5'7 and wear about an 8-10 in street clothes
I'm on the shorter side (just over 5'2") but I would consider myself to be "medium" in size. I normally wear a size 6 in street clothes.
Im 5"5 and about 140, i think thats average. My dress was a size 12 but i think a 14 would have been better :(

forgive the yucky hip area and back...wasnt wearing my shape wear that sucks everythign in and makes it look perfect! =)

I am 5'5" and about 156 (size 10/12) in these pica. I've lost a little bit since then(size 10,not quite 8 or 12), I like the wiggle room since I have a sweet tooth!
I'm 5"2 size 2 (petite) working on getting to 115.
I'm not sure if thats average or not but i've been told it is so *shrugs* lol.
I'm 5'6" and wear a 4/6 regular dress size. I'm trying to lose 15 lbs to get back to my high school weight. Mostly toning my arms/hips/stomach. Here's a picture of me in my runner-up dress.
I am 5'4" and half an inch. I was a size "4" according to my designer and about 115 lbs or so on the wedding day.

You girls all look terrific!!!! Although, I'm bummed that I'm now considered XXXL (I'm a size 16-18)! I had no idea a 4-6 was considered the new "average". I always thought about an 8-12 was average. Can someone fill me in?
@melisslp: size 4-6 is not average...it is just what our society has made us strive for. I agree with you, I would say 8 is about average for sure. Maybe 4-6 is average for a 16 year old but not for a woman! : )

I think size 10-12 is average....not a 4-6. But it is always awesome seeing bees in their gorgeaous dresses!! Keep them coming!
Thanks for posting bees! I used to think I was super chubby but seeing on the outside, I'm average too! I seriously thought being 5'6" and 135 lbs. was heavy (most of my friends are petite so they're 100ish). Thanks for putting me back on earth!
I love these pictures. Some of you "average" Bees are a bit smaller than me, but it's nice to see real women around my size looking so amazing in their dresses.
I'm a bit shorter than you at 5' even... but I do wear an average size right now, although the doctor is on me to lose some weight. Sorry...not going to post how much I weigh. I won't tell Jim, and I won't tell a lot of women I only know online!!! My dress was a size 14, and I wear a street size medium, 10 or 12, depending on the cut. Oh! I did wear 5" heels, so that puts me about average.

I'm 5' 4 1/2", 133 lbs (just went to the doctors last week!) and i usually wear a size 6. I ordered an 8 in my Sottero & Midgley
Here is a picture of me at one of my fittings. I'm about 5'7", and was about 135-140lbs when this photo was taken. I usually wear an 8-10, depending on the store. My dress is from David's Bridal.
EDIT: to my earlier post. I'm a street size 9/10 and I wore a size ten dress. My dress was Ambrosia by Maggie Sottero. I also weighed 149 pounds on my wedding day. and just so you know which one was mine and because I LOVED my dress and love to stare at it.... I'm gonna post up another picture. :D

Is it NOT possible for women to celebrate their size/shape WITHOUT having to bring down other women??? Seriously, maybe this is considered threadjacking but I don't even care because I REALLY took offense to that comment! I am 5ft4, and a size 4. No I'm not 16, and yes I am a real woman. Thanks for trying to make me feel like less of a woman just to justify the way you feel about your own weight.
I'm 5'6" ~135lbs w/ dress size: bust 4, waist 6, hips 8-10.
@Bostonsmom: *hug* if you feel great for your weight then don't ever feel put down.
I have woman tell me that I look like a boy being 5'2 and 120lbs. I even have woman give me awfully dirty looks when they see me trying to lose more weight.
It's all about confidence and comfortability. If you are both, nothing else matters.
@prettylady: aw, thank you!! It was the first dress that I'd found when I was first looking through magazines. I tried on about 15-20 dresses, but it still ended up being "the one" :)
