lol omg!! That sounds insane lol!!

<br />I would say my sisters IL’s, unfortunately they believe their invited to every holiday with my family[no their not, my entire family doesnt care for them] Anywho we were having appetizers and playin some card and dice games when my sisters FIL asks me, so i heard you used to work at a strip club[ definately didnt strip lmao just the bartender during the week]

and I was like yes…and everyone else got quiet cuz they heard what he asked and i said yes…

then he goes oh well i find strippers extremely fascinating, what are they like in real life? What did your job entail, did you strip also?

Everyone looked at me with mouths open :-O and i said yeah, they certainly are a bunch of ….nice fascinating people….????

WTF lol everyone started talking at once trying to change the conversation whilst his wife[sisters MIL] was staring at me with evil eyes… lol sooo awkward, very sad i have to endure this AGAIN in 4 weeks time for Xmas lol

Mine was just my very bitchy SIL. They were talking about drawing names for a gift exchange and she looked at me and said, You can’t be in it because you are JUST (SO’s name)’s GIRLFRIEND. I couldn’t be in it until we were married. Well…needless to say my BF’s mother, grandmother, aunt, SIL and his Dad were all like…no it’s fine, put her name in. It’s pretty obvious that they really dislike her and always have. Her little emotional fit throwing and constant bitching are really uncalled for. She is very jealous of me because his family has always included me in shopping trips and our nephew is allowed to be at our house as often as we would like him here and can spend the night etc and he’s not allowed to be there without parental supervision.

yes that is an absolute MUST! especially this year, my moms decided to tell them [hopefully after our secret santa] that next year and from now on we would like to have our own family thing. [ since their never invited to ours n come anyway, though we were NEVER invited to their family holidays ]Im sure my sis MIL will throw a hissy fit or make a scene, in which my inner child will come out if she says anything rude to my mom lol

and another snippet, last time we played the card game last year she called ‘ gayles card game is just…obscene’ I almost decked her lol

Mmmm I would love a beer right now and its only 11am! lol

My family kept asking FI and I when we were getting married and saying we need to set a date. When we told them it won’t be for awhile, they kept giving us a hard time about it and pushing us to explain why.

We have two main reasons for waiting: (1) we’ve been together over 7 years and neither of us place that much importance on the act of getting legally married (we’ve pretty much considered ourselves to be married already for awhile!), but, more practically — (2) if legally married, we would be paying at least $20K more a year in taxes. $20K!!! That’s a ton of money that I’d rather not pay, especially given #1 above.

But alas, neither of these explanations are easy for people to understand, especially my family. So in hopes of not stirring up debate, we just hemmed and hawed and said we wanted time to plan and such. They finally laid off, thank goodness.

Amerie27:  Yeah it sucks mucho. It’s called the “marriage penalty.” It only affects certain couples at certain incomes, but we’re one of the “lucky” ones that it hits.

She has always been like that to me. She thinks that no one in the family likes her very much. Which is true but only beause she is so negative and rude to everyone all of the time. And she complains and complains about everything. It didn’t help when her husband had a huge freak out in front of our nephew when his parents were there which made them seriously question what happens behind closed doors. But I won’t let my son go there without me either. No way.
