FI and I will also be spending the night apart -- he is really looking forward to seeing me for the first time that day in my gown coming down the aisle.
I'm also sticking to the borrowed, blue, old, new tradition so I don't jinx us or anything. :)
not really - we went with whatever felt right for us on all the traditions. my mother-in-law really wanted us to get married at 3:30 (something about the clock hands going up) but I wanted 4:00 - and breaking that superstition convinced me to consider a first look and seeing each other before the ceremony!
we did plenty of traditional things though, like "somethings" and spending the night before apart. but because they meant something to us, not because of luck.
I think all this stuff should just be what is fun and personal to you!
I plan on bucking ALL the traditions because neither of us are superstitious :)
