Hi,
I live in Columbia, MD, so I am not really in Baltimore, or DC. We decided to have our wedding in Annapolis in November, but we looked all around in both areas for different venues. We are booking a harbor cruise with Pintail yatchs. I looked into cruises in Baltimore, but most of the charter companies were for very large groups (>100) and we are a small group of <50. I think Annapolis will be a nice setting. Almost all of our guests are from out of town, so it gives them a chance to visit DC or the inner harbor area while they visit.

I am just going to get on all the local boards, because I have lived in all these places! Haha, I used to live in Owings Mills and then moved to Canton for 2 years (have since moved up to PA because of the fiance, but anyway!), I always thought having a wedding in the harbor would have been gorgeous, expensive out the wazzoo, but amazing! I went to a wedding in Annapolis and they had it in a park, it was also gorgeous. I *heart* Annapolis!
I'm not a Baltimore bride, but was MOH at a Baltimore wedding last weekend. The ceremony and reception were at Chase Court. It was a very beautiful location and the Bride's room was GREAT!
I’m not a Baltimore bride, but my brother and his fiancée (who is from Hunt Valley) are getting married at the 1840s Ballroom this summer.
I am a Baltimore bride! We are getting married aboard the USS Constellation at Pier One in the Inner Harbor with the reception at the Hyatt Regency.
It would have been super-expensive, but we have a great wedding planner - Simply Beautiful Concepts - Letetia has more than paid for herself in the great deals she has found for us. It is like a dream coming true when I look at our wedding plans.
I can't wait until May!!!

I am a Baltimore (county.. i know, for shame.) bride. We are getting married at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena. Not in the city, but is beautiful!
I'm not from Baltimore, but my fiance is from MD and we're getting married at Second English Lutheran church (it is the perfect church I see myself being married in) and our reception's at BWI Marriott.

I'm not a Baltimore Bride, but I'm not an Eastern Shore or DC bride either! We're getting married at Thorpewood in Thrumont. FI and I live in Frederick.

I'll be getting married at the Cloisters! We live in Silver Spring now, but a lot of our family live in Prince Georges County.

@Serya - SURE! I'll give you some info now too! Julie (the person you contact at ThorpeWood) is AMAZING. ML at Canapes is AMAZING. Their food is AMAZING! I'll post a link to my wedding planning blog once I get my tush in gear to start it! LOL
I'm a B-more bride...but the groom is from DC! :) We're getting married at my little church in Relay, MD and the reception is at Glen Echo Park in Md. :) (Glen Echo is an old amusement park if you didn't know....it's super fun! )

I am getting married in Aug my wedding is going to be in Columbia at The Meeting house and the Reception is going to be at the Other Barn in columbia
I am not from Baltimore, but my fiance is from the DC/Baltimore area. We are getting married in November at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. It should be gorgeous during the fall.
I can't believe I never posted in this thread! We're getting married at Liriodendron in Harford County.
Living in Laurel but Im so in love with my hometown. The Wedding and reception will be held at the Overhills Mansion in Catonsville!
@KYONA: Do you have photos from your reception at the other barn that you would be willing to share and any vendor feedback?

Hi!
So are there any others out there?
I'm getting married in Sept. 2008 and am getting married at my church - they have a great outside ampitheater that we hope to use (as long as the weather's good - otherwise we'll be inside the church), and the reception will be at a historic house on the church property.
