Nice to meet you too!! I'm from the Birmingham area. I wish I had suggestions to give but I've hardly done any wedding planning yet. I guess it's just because it's still somewhat far away so I haven't really felt like there was much to do. I've got the church, because that's where we go to church. The photographer, because my cousin is a photographer and my dress. That's it! lol How about you? What all have you done?
I haven't done much, either. This is all so new to me, and it's hard to know where to start! I did register for a bridal fair today, so I am looking forward to that!
We have our venue (my grandparent's & uncle's house) and that's pretty much it. We will more than likely use my fiance's oldest brother, who is a professional photographer. I am impressed you already have your dress! I can not wait to go dress shopping.
After finals and graduation are over, I am definitely going to come up with a plan of attack on this wedding stuff. It's been so hard to concentrate on school since the proposal!
Haha welllll I actually got my dress before I was even engaged (crazy, I know!) but I went with a friend of mine and they were having a huge sale and I tried my dress on just for fun and completely fell in love with it. I knew it was the one. So I bought it. I still adore it though :)
& I know what you mean, I just graduated LPN school in August so now I'm working full time and about to start back RN school full time in May, so I'm gonna be so busy! I'm trying to get a head start on this wedding stuff, but I really don't know what there is to do! lol
Do you and your fiance have a date in mind for the wedding?
Wow! My sister is in her first semester of nursing school, and I know she is insanely busy.
We're thinking September 18, 2010. We don't want to say for sure until my work plans for after graduation are squared away.
When I first read the posts headline I thought you were taking about Obama...not Alabama. Guess us out-of-state-ers just dont know the lingo :)

Since Ole Miss is now looking for Cotton Bowl bid, I can root for ya officially now.
My sis is in no. Alabama btw and is quite the party planner. I go there quite a few times a year and it's my second home.

I'm an unofficial rebel. I went to the Univ. of Memphis and was their featured twirler, but I love the SEC!
My sis and bil both went to Ole Miss, as did my entire family except for me.
However, my senior year in high school, I filled in once for the Ole Miss Featured Twirler for halftime at one of their football games (she was really sick) and almost decided after that to go there!
Anybody going to the big game Saturday night in Atlanta?
I wish I was going, but I'll be rooting for Bama from home! Hope they destroy Florida lol!! I'm a HUGE Alabama football fan. My fiance got me hooked.
I'll be watching from home as well. Can not wait! I tried to get tickets, but so did a ton of other students. My fiance is a UA grad, and I will be soon!

Hey girls! I'm from Alabama and was just wondering if there were any other Bama brides out there? I'm looking for suggestions on caterers, videographers, etc. I haven't really seen many girls from Alabama on here and it'd be nice to know other brides from my area!
