I just started working on a wedding blog with hopes of applying to be a Bee in a few weeks. I only discovered the weddingbee blog about 2 months ago, so I’m only familiar with current bees.
This weekend, I was talking to one of my best friends, told me there was a weddingbee blogger who got married at our same venue less than a year ago. I was surprised, because I totally missed that bee! I came home and read the posts and sure enough, a bee got married at our venue in 2009 (and she was a popular bee!)
Has there ever been two bees that got married at the same venue? Especially so close together? Anyone know?

Welcome to the boards!
I don’t know whether or not it’s ever happened, but I can assure you that it wouldn’t affect your chances of becoming a bee! It’s based purely on your blogging, so that wouldn’t be a factor at all! 🙂

i wondered about that before too. it’s bound to happen eventually!
a bee got married at the venue we chose last year. i really thought about applying (someone has to be the first person to re-do a venue!) but in the end decided i will not be applying, for several reasons. one of the reasons that the venue is full service, so there will be quite a few similarities there already–planning experiences with the venue, photos at the venue, food tastings, etc. i really have nothing new to offer about planning a wedding at that venue–she did a fabulous job of it already.
i wouldn’t worry about it, as long as you aren’t going to try to copy all the little details that they did and you have something “new” to offer.

Miss Lobster is getting married at the same venue as Mrs. Latte – perhaps that answers your question! 🙂

I barely wrote about my venue in my posts. I think in my recaps it will be the first time anyone sees the ceremony area. So it shouldn’t matter at all 🙂
