What’s your budget and are you wanting to stay downtown? There are soooo many options but pricing really is all over the place depending on what you’re looking for and when you go.

@dreamer1288:  I’m not from Charleston, but my husband and I were there for NYE last year and we had an amazing time.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn, which was a very short walk to all the shopping, restaurants, etc.  We loved walking around the city, to the waterfront, checking out all the beautiful homes.

We had our NYE dinner at Halls Chophouse.  All I can say it we’ve never been treated better at a restaurant.

I just adore the South, and Charleston has so much charm…If you can make it to Savannah too, I would highly reccommend it…we had our honeymoon in Savannah and have been back since!

You can check out http://www.airbnb.com, put in charleston, sc, and check the “whole house” option and it comes up with a lot of apartments and houses in the area that people rent out short term.
