What about placing this table right in front of the dance floor in the middle and giving it a special centerpiece? For example you could do low centerpieces on all the tables and a high centerpiece on this one. Or you could do a grander version of the normal centerpieces. Just something to make this table stand out.

We’re having a head table with our bridal party (6 total) and their dates (5 more), although we’re not sitting all on one side – just the 13 of us sitting around a big rectangular table.  But it’s still the “head” table because of the position and the fact that all the other tables are round.  You could sit at a table with your MOH and BM and their dates, and then maybe another couple or two.  I agree with a PP about making the centerpieces special, or something that stands out for you.  Or all six of you could sit on one side of the table, if you like.
