I don’t have any 31-33 day charts but I just wanted to chime in: I think you may have O-ed on CD 24 based on your combined fertility signs. Don’t be surprised if this cycle goes to 34-40 days.

I also think you o’d later than FF is putting it. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it changes your CHs later. You can see a much clearer temp shift a few days later.

@Peffy:  hahah well I am no expert! It’s just as possible that I am wrong. I do have a tendancy to think I know more than FF and I am often wrong.

I am not sure what kind of cycle I have. I have been on BCP for the past 9 years and just stopped taking it last month. My last visit from AF was on 5/11 – still no signs of her. I have been having pains in my right ovary for a few days now. Also had EWCM on CD27. Not sure what the hell is going on! So totally confused.

@katie395:  Sounds like you are ovulating now!! Not unusual to have a much longer first cycle off of BCP. My first was 36 days, every other since has been 28-30 days.

I think my body is still figuring out the cycle length post-bcp but my doctor told me before the pill I had a 30-35 day cycle (thank goodness he had my records from back then!) It looks like my cycles are going back to that length.

@Utopia4us:  I know I thought I was ovulating too but the OPK wasn’t positive. So confusing and I know I should start temping, just need to learn more about it.

@katie395:  I would definitely recommend temping. Some people think it’s more stressful, but I find it much less stressful to know exactly what’s going on. I wouldn’t worry about not gettting a +OPK yet. Some people don’t get a positive OPK until the day of ovualtion, so you may still be a couple days out, or its also possible that it already happened. Some people also have super short surges and won’t have a positive OPK for long. If you want to chart, a lot of us here use Fertility Friend. It has a really good tutorial and does a lot of the work for you. Also a good book to read to learn more is Taking Charge of Your Fertility. If you do decide to chart, come join us on the charters thread. Lots of support and knowledable bees over there!

@katie395:  +1 on the temping! I thought it would be hard but I stumble out of bed so I don’t wake DH and stick the thermometer in my mouth first thing. I know you’re not supposed to move but I do it the exact same way each morning and still see a consistent pattern (and on weekends fall right back to sleep). And my marriage is happier because I don’t want DH 🙂 Knowledge is power!

@Utopia4us: & @hoogirl05:  you both have convinced me. I am going to the drug store on my lunch break and will pick one up.Now, should I start temping tomorrow which would be CD 32?

@Peffy:  I ffeel like I highjacked your post. So sorry!

@katie395:  you could, I am not sure if you will get a lot of useful data at this point in your cycle but it’s worth a shot! Even just to get you in the habit and ready to go for next cycle (if there is one!)

@Peffy:  I also apologizing for participating in hijacking 🙁 you are also more than welcome to come participate on the charters thread! We love having new charts to stalk and it is very encourging over there, especially when you are confused and puzzling over your chart!
