I was a bridesmaid to a bride who was 4 months pregant. We had a really tough time getting her into her dress…make sure to leave extra room for your growing belly and boobies ๐Ÿ™‚

I was 7 weeks along at our wedding.  I’m over 30 and didn’t expect it to work so quickly for us… so we had a ‘practice’ month the month before the wedding.  Anyway, I had to let my dress out about an inch, between the bloating and the fact that if anything were too tight across my belly I got a little nauseated.

Otherwise, it was fine.  I didn’t really have morning sickness, & my boobs looked fabulous.  As for avoiding alcohol- our parents knew, and our siblings knew as well so it was easy enough for one of them to bring me a mocktail.

I was six weeks pregnant at my wedding and found out the next week. Turns out all my bridesmaids were wondering since I kept mentioning how bloated I was. Thought my period was just delayed from the stress! We had decided to stop preventing the week I got pregnant assuming that it would take much longer! My dress still fit perfectly at that point as I had happened to lose weight after the last fitting and I had a corset back.

I drank since I didn’t know… But I was starting to not be interested in alcohol and only had two glasses. No one noticed even though I usually drink much more! My friend hid her pregnancy for a while and she just had one person designated to bring her mocktails all night.

How far along will you be?

I was 5 months at our wedding. I didn’t spend a lot on a dress ($200 ivory bridesmaid dress from Nordstrom) but they altered it perfectly. I wish I’d been able to drink with everyone, but I still had an amazing time and lasted until 2am at the casino after party ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t really have any advice, just make sure you’re comfortable – I wore really comfy shoes and had a cute reception dress to change into (asos has the cutest maternity stuff!) withD sandals. I looked great, but I wasn’t focused on being a pretty princess so much as I was on being comfortable.

I will also be 17 weeks at my wedding on 3/23/13. We were planning on trying in January, then decided to try in December, not expecting it to work at all…but it did! I am not worried about it. I had my first fitting and the dress was too big, so we will see how it is next week at my next fitting. I’m 10+3 right now and barely barely have a slight bump. Luckily, I have a corset dress so there will be plenty of room.

On the plus side, my boobs look better.

@achara02:  I wasn’t sick at all so I felt just like myself other than being more tired than usual. FX for you to feel amazing too!

I was a little over 8 weeks pregnant at my wedding.  Leading up to the wedding I had pretty bad morning sickness (and after too!) but luckily felt great on the wedding day.  I don’t drink, so that wasn’t a problem, and really just felt a little more tired than usual.  My boobs grew over two sizes by that time, so if you have a fitted dress it could be…interesting.
