I know this isn’t a long term weight management program but after losing 3 stone of baby weight I have found my motivation to eat sensibly has went down hill. I used to a lot of martial arts trainign as well as running to keep fit but since getting my appendix out I have had to chill out for a while. I am going to start slim fast to try and kick start things again, maybe a week on a week off or something similar. I like that I don;t have to think about food and find time to cook more than one healthy meal a day as I;m super busy with the baby. Any other bees tried and maybe had some success?

I’ve used it as a crash diet (most recently, right before the wedding). It’s useful if you’re really busy, but even if you buy different flavors of the shakes it gets really monotonous. The shakes aren’t bad, but they aren’t really good. Some of the candy bars are surprisingly good; I really like the mint brownie one. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to do it for more than a week at a time, so it might not be the solution for you. I just would really miss eating lunch. I’m also pretty sure it’s not the healthiest diet either :

yeah changed my mind lol. Went to get it and the shakes just looked so unnappetising lol i couldnt bring myself to buy them. I’ll be back to taekwondo and spin classes soon enough to lose the last few pounds so it actually seemed a bit drastic for all i needed to achieve when I thought about it.

I’ve found that it really didn’t do much except to keep me close to the bathroom. Try to eliminate some of the white foods you eat…bread, pasta, potatoes, rice….and the weight will start to drop. Its pretty easy to do!

I actually use the Slim Fast as a way to curb snacking or revive my blood sugar when it drops (hypoglycemia). I like the flavors and the new plastic bottles are so much less obvious at work. Having said that, I don’t think I could do the full diet where I have nothing but Slim Fast products for two meals and then a small dinner. I would probably pass out.
