I’ve heard it can work but I’ve also heard some horror stories. One of my best friends used it right before her wedding and it was kind of a nightmare. Your only allowed so many grams of fat per day. If you go over that, you can literally poop yourself. From what I gather, there are alot of better options out there.

There was a long thread of people sharing their experiences last year, I believe – might be worth a search on WB to see if that will help you. People basically said what CaitMarae said – the side effects were really bad, and it doesn’t help much. Most of the effects you see are from how restricted your diet is on the pills, actually. (i’m too scared of diet pills to try them, but that’s what everybody else was saying)

I tried it. It works..buuuuut you have to be really careful If you follow the diet, you won’t have any problems. I don’t think the actual supplements helped me lose weight, rather the side effects of it did. I was sure not to cheat for fear of literally pooping myself. lol. I only used it for 3 months, but in those three months I lost 20lbs.

Since then, I just work out more and eat what i want, in smaller portions, of course. If you’re interested, I say go for it, but don’t try to cheat, whatever you do! Also, if you know you’re going to be eating a fatty meal, make sure you stop taking them a day before..because it will stay in your system. Trust me. 🙂

Of course Alli works if you eat super healthy. You’d lose weight if you ate super healthy without taking Alli, too. Alli scares you into eating right because nobody wants to poop themselves!

I heard the horror stories too. No thanks! Nutrtion tracking and upping my excercise routine has done it for me. I lost 25 lbs. since mid-September and 35 lbs. since the end of July. Five lbs. to go! I don’t knoiw if the difference is visible in the two pics or not but I am wearing shapewear in the bridal pic and no shapewear in the second pic.

@youhavemyheart: My mom lost 150 pounds on alli. You have to follow the guidelines exactly. If you think you are going to pop a pill and still order the left side of the menu at McDonalds then it’s not for you. I took it for a while and lost 30 problems with no horror stories. The people who have horror stories are not using it correctly.

I used alli and lost about 20 pounds… problem is though, if you eat fatty foods obviously, there’s the digestive problems, it also made me really nauseous if I ate fatty foods. Another problem with it is now that I am actually eating healthier it does nothing for me. I have a very low fat intake and its like I’m not taking anything at all… so boo… also I gained the weight back, but don’t let that discourage you, I am going to the doctor on Monday about a possible thyroid problem so it may just be me lol.
