Trust me, you’re not alone! There are a lot of people, I’ve just found that there tend to be more of them in specific Facebook groups as opposed to on the bee.

Your age/partner’s age: 32/35

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: Honestly, I’ve lost count at this point. We were NTNP for 2.5 years before we started actively TTC. Actively TTC for a year before we got a BFP (ended in a loss).

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? One Ectopic, followed by one miscarriage

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? None known, although so far I’ve only had bloodwork done through my OB but it was all clear. DH’s SA came back good too.

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? None yet, but I’m going to make an appointment with an RE soon so I’ve been doing a lot of research on IVF.

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Honestly, I don’t know. I have yet to graduate from TTC and everyday it’s a worse and worse struggle.

Your age/partner’s age: 37/32

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: Sept 2012 – 5 effing years

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? 1 m/c at 8.5 week (after 3.5 years TTC), 1 chem at 5.5 week (6 months after the first one)

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? All tests normal

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? 3 IUIs, 8 IVFs

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Take it a day at time, spoil yourself when you need to, try to enjoy the life you have and be greatful for the good things, and remember no matter how bad it is… someone else has it worse, whether it be with infertlity, or just life in general.

2.5 years for me, so you’re not alone! Unfortunately I have no success story to offer as I’m still in it.

Your age/partner’s age: 34/36

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: started February 2015

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? 1 chemical pregnancy in August 2015. That’s it

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? None that I was aware of before we started. We’ve learned through two IVF cycles that I have poor egg quality, with no other symptoms.

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? Letrozole, Clomid, IUI, IVF twice

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Be your own advocate. Listen to your doctors, but use your own critical thinking skills. Seek second opinions. Keep an open mind. Stay strong. When you don’t know what else to do, just put one foot in front of the other. Take care of yourself and enjoy the little things in life whenever you can.

Jewelieee :

Your age/partner’s age: 32/33

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: March 2016 /19

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? None

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? Yes, sperm quality and heart shaped uterus.

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? I just started IVF. On BC currently and stims will happen next weekend.

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Get tested… so many try TTC and you just never know what could affect you. We just found out about my uterus on Monday. I learned this Tuesday I’ll have to get surgery.

Unfortunately we’re also apart of this group, and it looks as though we’re out for this cycle as well 😔

Your age/partner’s age: 29/29

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: Going on 14

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? – No

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? – So far unexplained

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? – Nothing yet, planning on moving on to IUI if this next cycle does not work

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time?- It sucks and it’s a lot of BS, I think talking to someone who really gets it is best for support!

Thanks a lot for reviving this group, it’s nice to feel like you’re not alone!

I’ve been feeling pretty lonely lately, too, so thanks for starting this post.

Your age/partner’s age: 38/40

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: started Feb, 2016

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? one chemical in May, miscarriage at 5 weeks just about 1.5 weeks ago

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? Age…it looks like I have poor egg quality based on our IVF experiences; currently undergoing testing relating to miscarriage

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF?
1 IUI with letrazole, 2 IVF cycles (which led to the 2 lost pregnancies)

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Not much right now. I’m really struggling at the moment. I just found out we have to wait a cycle to get some testing done for insurance, and I’m hating the idea of wasting even one month. I’m trying to focus on relaxing, getting healthier, etc., but it’s easier said than done right now!

You are not alone! I have been in this boat twice

Your age/partner’s age: We were 30 when we TTC #1, we are 34 now

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: For baby #1 – 16 or 17 cycles. For baby #2, I believe it was 15 cycles

Baby #: We are currently pregnant with #2

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? I had a miscarriage after 8 months of TTC #1. It took another 8 months to conceive my son after that We did one unsuccessful IUI in there. For our second pregnancy, we did 3 unsuccessful IUIs and 2 IVF cycles.

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? When TTC #1, nothing. When TTC #2, my FSH was elevated. Likely bad egg quality.

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF? See above.

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? Seek out other people (like on these boards!) who are going through the same thing. They are often the only ones that understand.

Jewelieee :  I believe that once my HCG levels went back to zero, I started having regular periods again. I was always pretty regular – 27 to 30 days.

Ah! I really love this! Thanks for making this. Sometimes TTC can feel so hopeless.

Your age/partner’s age: 25/33

TTC start date/# of cycles TTC: August 2016

Baby #: 1

Any miscarriages/losses/rainbow babies at the end? No, which is a blessing because I can’t even imagine how heart wrenching but also scary because I’m even more unsure if I can concieve

Do you or your partner have any fertility-affecting medical conditions? Yes, I have recently been diagnosed with PCO. I have not had a natural period in almost a year… so it’s pretty safe to say I’m not ovulating.

Which fertility treatments have you tried so far? IUI/IVF?
I am on 1500mg of Metformin daily to try to regulate my hormones. I also take vitex daily. So far no progress. I have an appointment with a fertility doctor in Novemeber (the wait is killing me)

What advice do you have for others who have been TTC for a long time? We are all just trying the best we can. Take is easy on yourself as this is a process for the most part we all have little to no control of.
