I’m off work right now because I have a broken ankle and you would THINK I have all the time in the world for wedding planning, but do you have any idea how many things you need to actually drive to see or buy or meet with someone!?  Sure I have nothing to do but wedding plan, but I darn well CAN’T!!!!!!!  πŸ™‚

My fiancee and I moved to New England nine months ago so she could attend grad school. Since her gig with the university is pretty cush (tuition, health insurance for us both, a salary) and I’m still in undergrad, I worked it out with my school to finish up here via distance learning and one-on-one with my professors. I take one class every seven weeks and the rest of my time is devoted to taking care of the neighbors dog 8 hours a week and the wedding. Once I graduate, it’s a whole different ball game though.

@al1988:  I HEAR YOU!  i was working full time last year on my internship on the other side of the country while planning my DW.  now i have no job, i am closer to home, but not close enough that i can see anyone regularly.  DH works full time and i am *supposed* to be finishing my dissertation and i am bored out of my freaking mind!!

And having no schedule or structured time makes it REALLY hard to get anything done! its like i am in a prison, because i  have too much freedom!  i am looking for a part time job, but not looking hard enough and no luck so far (i want something in  my field, not just anythign).

@al1988: We could be friends. I have two cats and take care of a deaf geriatric dog like 8 hours a week. That leaves 160 hours of nothing else.

I wish I wish I wish!! I’m in grad school and find that wedding planning has kinda taken over my life, so it seems that this is my only responsibility! But I still have others, which I have been totally blowing off and I’m sure it will catch up to me!
