Going by the pic of the dining area, I think your instincts are on point to incorporate a deep color in there somewhere. But dark blue might be too much of a contrast with the old world, almost Tudor feel of the space.

What about the color camilla? I’d suggest camilla, pale champagne, blush, gold, dark brown (chairs?). Here’s a palette of complementary colors from design-seeds.com. Another suggestion for table decor would be tall candelabras (wrought-iron ones would be amazing), olive leaves inside of glass lanterns, floral berries scattered on the table, dark-hued wooden bowls filled with purple grapes, plums in lieu of the traditional floral center pieces, and small copper vases filled with wild flowers or cream and blush colored garden roses.

    Lovely dress!

@minipenguin:  As a redhead myself, I gotta say that the best color for redheads is purple! Any shade…doesn’t matter. I also think purple might complement you as well. Might contrast with the roof, BUT it would look lovely in the garden area…and inside the venue.

If that doesn’t work, I also think that blush or champagne shouldn’t contrast with your fiance. That said, have you considered incorporating a light/pale gold? That might look lovely too. I’m actually wearing a light gold dress and it looks AMAZING with my red hair and pale skin (who knew?!). I think a pale gold would look lovely in your venue too. I don’t think a pale gold would clash with the silver details of your dress either. I’ve seen gold and silver inspiration boards that look beautiful.

i dont get how blue wouldnt go with the venue, that seems like a weird statement to me.

Stay with your orignal blue, blush, ivory scheme, it sounds wonderful!

Also, no one notices if things like chairs don’t match exactly. A gold chair won’t make people go “OMG her dress is silver, how dare she!” but you could easily do the brown or white ones as well.

@minipenguin:  Firstly, your dress is sooo beautiful!

Secondly, what about the following colour combo – it incorporates the goldy/champagne colour, with your coral and some grey and aqua that will suit your man (mine has very similar colouring!)

Your blue/blush/ivory thing sounds lovely! It’s not my style (not edgy enough haha) but it sounds beautiful.

I’m not particularly creative but your original colour scheme sounds lovely. I generally think that a strong emerald or jade green would suit both of your colourings and looks great with silver or gold.

I’m afraid I still don’t understand your concern with skin/hair color…were you going to have the fiance wear a red suit? Or are you worried that blue tablecloths would detract from your beauty?    Not being facetious, I honestly don’t get it.

@minipenguin:  LOVE the plum with pale gold palette idea. I think that would be beautiful. and yes–it would work for him. I wear plum all the time. It’s a great color!
