Any brides out there doing their own makeup? What is your inspiration. What steps are you taking to learn how to do it/buying the right makeup?

My inspiration is Charlize Theron's makeup (not hair though) from the Golden Globes 2012. See image here:

I did my makeup basically the same as I do every day, only a shade or two darker of eyeshadow and blush so I wouldn't look washed out in photos. I didn't want to have someone else do mine because I didn't want to look unnatural/not like myself!

@futuremrspatterson - I love that and the vintage look to it.. very beautiful!

@MissBMarie1428- I hear you!! That's why I want to do it myself too.... because I know what looks best on me. I used to model and those makeup artists go way over board sometimes... even with the basic foundation. I'd rather have my freckles show than a layer of cake on my face:)

@MissBMarie1428: Me too! I never really like it that much when other people apply my makeup. I've been doing it for a while now so I'm just used to that and so are other people.
