Thanks for getting back with me. Lots of extra info I gathered since the original post.
Since I’m heading back there twice next month (one with my family to celebrate my brother’s 35th birthday, the other for a wedding scouting trip with FI), it’ll be easier this time.
I contacted Ocean Pines and they said I need to spend a min. of $7K to have a Saturday wedding. Wasn’t a fan of their response so cross them off.
I’ve also tried Mango’s in Bethany Beach but they won’t do weddings between Memorial and Labor Day. We can push our wedding ahead to May or back to September or October. But have to see their reply after my most recent request. Most likely will do the reception because you do need a permit for DE beaches. Plus it’s $100 for the licence.
Golden Sands is very close to where Fiance and I want to have our ceremony. We’re planning to have the ceremony at the Irene Condos and as you may know, the beach north of 100th St. is pretty quiet. We might consider that but we’ll see. We also considering bringing a caterer and party rentals to the Irene’s deck. I called the Supervisor and got the okay. However, I don’t want to stress out over decor.
Shucks about Fager’s. 5pm? I know Seacrets is 8pm but for a place that brags about having the best sunset spots in OC, that’s a let down to shut down early. As for Seacrets, I think we’ll stick to the after party over there.
Thanks for the pointers about Rox. I’ve watched Sean’s ceremonies online and he seems to do a good job catering to the couple’s officiating needs. But like I stated in the OP, I’m not a fan of their other things at all. Compare to other places I found, it seems like a rip off.
And then there’s the wedding set-up issue. This is their set-up:
And this is what I’m hoping for:
Okay take away the table/sand ceremony but you get the idea.
I did contact Tiffany Caldwell and she seems to be one of my top photography picks, along with Gillette. Still hoping we can bring a photographer from home (we live north of Philly, so driving won’t be as bad). But we’ll see during our wedding scouting trip in August.
Thanks for getting back to me and if you know more, feel free to respond back. 🙂
