My one and only bridezilla moment was when I was putting on my dress on the wedding day. I was really upset because I felt like my mom hadn’t paid enough attention to the tailors directions when she was teachin her how to put the dress on correctly. My mom had no clue what she was doing! My photographer kept saying “Ok, try to look happy…”. It still kind of bothers me when I look at the pictures and wish the dress was on the way the tailor had put it on for me, but oh well!

Just one.  My bought bought a few hundred of these stupid little individually wrapped mints (without my knowedge) and wanted to put them out in a bowl.  They were SUPER tacky (like wrapped with ugly white plastic) and I told her that I wouldn’t allow it.  Thankfully, she didn’t put up much of a fight, beyond “well, so and so had them at her graduation!”  Sorry mom, a graduation is a much different party than a wedding.

I almost had a bridezilla moment the one day, but I kept it down and as I write this I remember feeling a little panicky in that time, but I can only remember the one thing I was feeling pissy about haha. Of course I have 8.5 days to go still, soooo no promises I might not have ONE moment to come! Haha.

I am by nature a very laid back individual and while we have had a couple things pop up, I have handled them in a non bridezilla manner. So I don’t forsee a moment like that since I don’t get very anxious or concerned easily, and I am not really very Type A either, and to be fair my process hasn’t been all that difficult, really. Again no promises since I am 8 days out!!!

@candy08:  I got my one (and hopefully only) out of the way early on.  My parent’s gave a written offer to pay for the wedding, only to renig (something they’ve done before) saying that a wedding was a waste of money and we should just elope or go to the courthouse.  When I told my FI about this, he agreed with them, that a wedding was a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere.  I was at wits end and got pissed that what was important to me was a ‘waste of money to everyone else’ and the feeling that everyone thought I was being a spoild brat about everything.  I pitched a fit and after a few days all soothed out.  I still feel like I had a valid point, but I’ve calmed down.  I just really hope that I don’t have another bridezilla moment, I hated the feeling that unless I acted that way at that moment nobody would listen to me.

I completely lost it when my car stopped running and ended up in the repair shop the same week we had paid the final venue payment. I totally freaked out for a few days and wanted to cancel the wedding and elope.

@candy08:  I dont’ think I did while planning, except with ALL of my terrible vendors.

But on the wedding day I had alotted 1.5 hours for us to get our hair done because that’s how long the salon said it would take.  Well TWO HOURS after sitting in the chair to get my hair done I got up, noticed what time it was and put on my bitch face.  At the same time my mom went to take a picture of me and I screamed at her “DON’T IM F$#%ING PISSED!!!”

LMAO

@candy08:  I wouldn’t consider it a Bridezilla moment, but I was less than nice. The church, as part of your fee, gives you a day-of coordinator, who’s ONLY job is to tell you where to stand and when to walk. At our rehearsal, this lady was dictating a plethora of stuff, but the biggest hot button issue was her trying to tell ME and MY PARENTS that my dad couldn’t walk my mom down the aisle at the end of the wedding. That was the usher’s job. I told her no, my husband and I already have it figured out how they will walk out. She proceeded to argue with me in front of my wedding party, parents, in laws, and musicians as well as my pastor. My husband and I looked at her with this stare:

Don’t I look peachy? And then I told her, “Yeah, no that isn’t happening. End of discussion.”

She was outraged at the wedding that I had it done this way. She also never disucssed where the receiving line was after the wedding, so we just stood where we wanted, and she was trying to push guests aside to dictate where we stand. I just said, “[Name], thanks for your help, but you’re done dictating my wedding. We are fine here.”

And the rest is beautiful history 🙂

I had a full blown freak out moment the Monday before my wedding.  Crying for about an hour.  The weather forecast predicted rain, not only rain but thunderstorms and lightening the day of my wedding.  I lost it big time.  I ended up not going to work because I worked myself up so badly and took a few muscle relaxors so I could just sleep.  Turned out to be a complete waste of time and energy, it was clear, 80 degrees and sunny the day of my wedding.

I try and tell my husband that the weather was good because I freaked out…he just shakes his head.

Yeah I had a minor bridezilla moment/meltdown on the day of. We were supposed to start the ceremony at 4:00 and at 4:01 I get at text from the groom saying that our DJ wasn’t there. I had no idea as my girls and i had been in the bridal room getting ready for the last 3 hours.  I called the DJ and asked where he was and he said he was headed to the grocery store. I said well that’s nice, but you’re supposed to be here because I’m supposed to be walking down the aisle right now!!!!  He had his days mixed up and thought the wedding was the next day.  Haha Luckily the bridesmaids were on top of things and had already started downloading songs to one of their phones to plug in just to get us all down the aisle!
