@islandlily84:  I started officially last week. I had already gone through my Elements classes, but last Tuesday was my first real day. My first WOD was “Fran” which you are either already familiar with, or you will definitely come to know all the girl WOD’s. 

My boyfriend has been doing crossfit for about 2 years and has been coaching this year. I definitely drank the koolaide. It’s kind of crazy, but I am loving it so far. 

It really is like a family when you are experiencing blood, sweat, and tears (literally) with these people.

@islandlily84:  I have been doing Crossfit off and on for 8 months and I LOVE it!  It is unlike anything I have ever done! Intense!  You can youtube the exercises to get an idea of what they are. If you love hard workouts (like me), then you will love Crossfit.  Just get ready to be sore!  I recommend Tiger Balm and baths with rubbing alcohol and epsom salt.  Good Luck!

I’m starting crossfit next month. I’m afraid. I’m not used to high intensity exercise. I love strength training but its more the cardio side of crossfit that I am afraid of.

@islandlily84:  No problem!  I usually look at it once the WOD (Workout of the Day) is posted on the website to make sure my technique is okay.  Make sure you type Crossfit before the exercise-so you know you are using a similiar technique to what you will be doing.  Have Fun!

I have been going for over 3 years!  I guess I must like it.  Well I don’t love it but I love the shape it gets me into!  I hate going at 7:15am though.

I don’t really “live the lifestyle” but I use it as a means to an end – and that end is being able to enjoy my outdoor hobbies (mountain biking, backcountry skiing).  I try Paleo meals now and then.  I also do Zumba on the shoulder seasons.  b

Crossfitter here! Almost a year πŸ™‚ I am a totaly addict. It’s been a crazy semester with school so I’ve been out a lot and I am dying to get back in consistently. LOVE it πŸ™‚
