I always wonder the same thing… I’m in Southern Indiana / Louisville, KY area, and the prices are outrageous – so I wont be going but I love the show and I always wonder if everyone is pleased with their dresses… *bump* LOL

I went to Kleinfeld too and they didn’t have that big of a selection for me to try on that worked. I am a size 16 in bridal and so they just smushed me into the smaller dresses, so I was “exposed” in the back for most of the day.

I went and had a great experience! I’m street size 22 and had lots of dresses to try on. I did end up buying my dress there as well, which happened to be the first dress Keasha, my consultant, had me try on. I don’t live in the NYC area and had forgotten all my pics to bring with me to my appt. However, I described one dress on Say Yes to the Dress that I loved. I soon found out it was way over my budget. Keisha told me they had a replica of the dress I like in my size. I tried that one on and LOVED it! I have no complimants at all about the dress, my consultant, or my experience! At no time did I feel exposed at all and actually some of the dresses were too big…imagine that!

I went to Kleinfelds.  I tried on a gorgeous Pnina dress that would have been 10K.  In that dress I was treated like a princess and they tried wooing me into getting it with all the fixins . . . gorgeous veil, they could handle the rush, etc.  Pnina even came out and Joan showed me how they would reshape raise where the skirt went out to fit my petite frame (I am just 5 ft).  It was fine. They had a decent selection and were helpful, but I actually enjoyed my experience at RK Bridal lots more.  Joe was my consultant there.  She did a fantastic job guiding me towards the right dress instead of having me try on random dresses they had in the store that happen to be my size like they did at Kleinfelds. (I am a 16 bridal, but could squeeze into a 12/14.)

I recently bought my dress at Kleinfeld’s. I am a street 16 and 6 feet tall and I tried on tons of dresses. Strangely enough, they have far more dresses in the lower cost spectrum than in the higher cost designer. They seemed to have many Maggie Sottero dresses. I bought a Lazaro and was really happy they had a designer sample as I went to many other designer flagships and they had not one plus sample even though they make up to size 26 (Amsale for example). For those of you who are going to actually go, you must must must request a good consultant or you may get a horrible one. The ones from the show are obviously the top sellers. I had Sarah and she was just as good as she is on the show. I went with a friend who didnt ask for a specific consultant and she got some horrible girl who was really bad.

I haven’t been to kleinfeld, I just don’t have that kind of dough. However, when I was in St Louis a few weeks ago I went to Blossoms Bridal, and was able to try on several dresses in my size (26-28W) and it was SO great to actually see myself in a wedding dress. I think I have decided on Private Label by G #3352. It wasn’t even remotely the style I was going for, and only tried it on because the consultant suggested it. I wish i had pictures of myself in it, cuz I gotta say, I looked hot! I still wanted something with a sleeve but they put on a veil that covered my upper arms and I thought-ok-that will work. So, now it is just working the dress payments into our budget. Blossoms is a very small store, but I didn’t even come close to trying every dress on that they had in my size, and the consultant was so super nice and sweet. I would recommend them to anyone.
