we're getting married on a pier at the beach, and we're exiting to "somewhere over the rainbow" by Iz - it's the ukalele version. Perfect for a beach wedding!
@bunnyfoofoo: How sweet, a beach wedding! You know, I was thinking of that song, but didn't know for sure! And I do love the Iz version. I bet yours will be so beautiful. I'll def keep that song in mind! Thanks :)
We walked out to All you need is love by the beatles....it was played by a violin and a cello! :)
We walked out to a bagpiper playing across the stream from our ceremony site! My husband is Scottish on his dad's side and having the piper was a LOT of fun. Even my very skeptical mother admitted later that the piper starting up as we walked back down the aisle really couldn't have been more perfect for that moment.
Our entire ceremony was Beatles music (the original albums, no instrumental versions), and we exited to Got to Get You Into My Life which starts with a big trumpet fanfare and is one of the most joyful songs we know. Everyone loved it and left the ceremony dancing!
i also had all beatles, played by a string quartet, for our ceremony! for the recession we used "all you need is love," and then they played 'when i'm 64" while the guests finished leaving. for the procession, they played "in my life" for husband and bridal party, and "here there and everywhere" for me
we are doing our exit to the song from "mannquin" the movie haha. I love that song. Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now
after we are pronounced husband and wife, we will leave down the aisle to "This Will Be (an everlasting love) by Natalie Cole
we're recessing to "I'm a believer" by smashmouth! Since it's a Shrek song we figured the whole audience would recognize it and the words are perfect too! Great way to kick off the celebration!!
Aww everything sounds amazing :) I am a HUGE Beatles fan and was thinking about All You Need Is Love or Here Comes The Sun... There are so many choices!
I walked out to "All is Love" from Karen-O and the Kids from the movie "Where the Wild Things Are". I absolutely loved the song and it was just a really cute and fun way to exit out.
@SuperShopper: My favorite movie is Shrek!! I actually chose it as our last song of the night so that our reception would end like Shrek
We walked recessed to "500 Miles" by the Proclaimers. We both love that song, and it was a funny and quirky choice, which was fitting for us. I was told that some of the guests began to sing along to the chorus after we had walked out.
We walked out to "It Had To Be You" - had a guitarist, and it sounded great. (no vocals, just the guitar.)
We're walking out to "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra. I love Frank Sinatra plus my mom is dedicating the song to us in honor of my grandmother.
We're Christian so..we're thinkin "To God Alone" by Aaron Shust..or something pretty..like Cielo by Phil Wickham. We don't know yet though!
I'm trying to talk my FI into "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate.
Our recessional song is "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer. I'm trying to find a vocalist who will sing this and our processional song but if I can't find someone, we'll end up just having our DJ play it.
Our recessional song will be Tara's Theme from Gone With the Wind played on the harp and flute.
We exited to "The One I Got" by Jonny Lang. Very fun and upbeat song! : )
One I saw I wish we could have done- the Muppet Show theme song on a violin and a harp:) We did the Indiana Jones theme song, as my husband LOVES those movies.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys :) I appreciate it. I can't wait til I finally choose a song!
we're doing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Either that or "Signed, Sealed, Delivered"
@McVerde: Thank You! I am trying to talk my Fiance (and our guitar player) into that song too.... not having any luck though! :)
Our "exit" song was "just the way you are" by Bruno Mars. Our entire wedding party danced as the exited. It was so much fun and everyone loved it!
I want the piano coda (exit music) from "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes, but not sure if FI will like that idea. It's my favorite song and I want to work it in to my wedding day somehow... I think the coda is the most beautiful piece of music ever.
I was a bm at a wedding where they played 'Here comes the Sun' on the way out and it was awesome!

I'm putting together the playlist for my ceremony/reception, and I'm having trouble thinking of a good song for the exit of my ceremony. I definitely don't want a classical, traditional song, so are there any suggestions for a cute, upbeat song to exit the ceremony to? Thanks! :)
