Seriously? There are no Ella or Essense brides out there? I feel so alone! :) Just kidding, I guess the benefit is I'll be unique! I've been to three weddings this past year, and all three wore the same halter dress from David's....and yes, they are all in the same group of friends, but it was NOT planned.
Wow that dress is totally gorgeous! If I didn't have one already I might...well what am I saying :P
I have been looking at Ella - I really like some of their dresses! You're not alone :)
@Miss Burgundy.....I completely understand :) I went dress shopping with my friend (recently engaged) and I started looking myself....had to snap myself out of it :)
@waterprincess....Sweet! I was extremely surprised how cheap mine was too (under $800). I was expecting anything not from David's or Alfred's to be a bit more expensive :)
I'm no Ella bride, but your wedding dress looks a lot like my Sophia Tolli Anne... I love your dress!
@SXM: I was the only one too, with my dress - when I put the call for any sophia Tolli brides, barely anyone answered, and no one with MY dress... It just makes it that much more unique. I LOVE your dress.. obviously, lol!
I am looking for an ella or essense gown, but I haven't found one I love in my price range. I really want the Essense style 178, but I am not sure I want to pay 1500.00 for a dress I will only wear a few hours. I was thinking of selling it, but I am still unsure, so I am looking into the ella collection.
I think I'm about to buy an Ella dress! It's 5436. The only thing I'm not sure of is the corset back. I heard it pulls you in tightly but the dress I tried on was a size 10 and I'm a size 2 so I didn't get to really see how it would fit. What was your experience with it? Was it comfortable and better than a zip back?
SXMBride - I tried on your dress and LOVED it! Such a beautiful gown and it was in my top three:-)
I ended up buying Ella 5374, it's a very similar shape but has different beading etc
I'm going january 22nd to try on an Ella I fell in love with! 5515!
I didn't pay attention to designers while I was shopping but I found out through some random online searches that my dress is an Ella. 5376. I thought it looked good on me but now I'm just really disappointed in my decision and I don't know what to do :( I wanted something with lace but I chose this and I don't know why. I feel like crying right now...and now I feel like a moron for wanting to cry over a damn wedding dress I'm only going to wear for a few hours. 
Sorry I am not being helpful, but I was wondering how much that dress is? I fell in love with it when I saw it in a magazine and I wanted to know if it was in my range... Thanks!
I am an Ella Bride...I purchased the 5515 tulle gown. I am removing the beading on the neckline and replacing the belt with a pewter and crystal sash (which totally changes the look of the gown). 
@shirvonne: I paid $770 for the Ella 5515 gown in California
i just tried the same one as above.. that 5492.. ive tried on quite a few and it was perfect for me.. im not really into the big ball gowns and its a good thing we are having a destination wedding in florida.. I am a little dissappointed i don't see anymore Ella gowns out there either..but just as well.. 
@vmconley:Hi - I'm getting married I bought Ella 5436 also and I was wondering how you liked it! It's beautiful on and I think the pictures on the Ella website don't do it justice. I went with the magnolia color and the belt is also in magnolia.
I am an Ella bride too! Nice to know there are more of us out there :-) However I haven't seen all that, well actually any, with my choice. I have Ella 5517, can't wait to get her in November...it's been too long and I'm wavering in my decision.

@gemnz87: oh how cool!!! I actually have a fingertip length veil with alcenon lace edge that goes really well with the gown...do you have any pictures of you in it?
@MamaMegs721: Hello! No i don't have any pics, it is actually getting altered at the moment in another city.. i bought a fingertip veil too with a corded edge. How exciting not long to go now!

Anyone have an idea on the cost?? I live in Uganda, so I can't just hope down to the nearest bridal shop and check prices. I'm coming back to the US in April and will try it on and hopefully order it if its in my price range (under $1,000).
For those other Ella brides, how are the sizes? Are they just as small as other dresses? I wear a 10/12 street size.. what size Ella should I expect to order?

@bluebirdhill: I got an Ella Dress (#5436) and it was around $1200 original price but I was able to get it on a sale day. I would imagine you could email some bridal shops that sell Ella and get prices.
It fit pretty close to street clothes size actually, you might possibly have to go up to a 14 and then have them take it in, rather than risk it being slightly too small in a 10 or 12.

I know Maggie Sotero is a popular designer out there with the Bees (and they are gorgeous - congrats!)....but just curious if there are any Ella Brides out there? I'm curious how you were bustled! I choose 5358:
