I am too! September 28th this year. Ours is kind of a last minute thing. We were going to be there on vacation anyway, so we decided to make it happen which in SC.

We’re just doing a super simple and small morning ceremony, followed by lunch and then drinks and dessert at our beach house later that night. I’m hoping it won’t be too cold or anything!

Well, I’ll be a beach bride in October of next year.  In the Florida Panhandle, so the weather will be very nice there at that time of year.  The ocean should also still be a nice temperature should people want to go in (not at the wedding, obviously).

@cabana_bride:  We’re doing the exact same thing! Since it’s turtle season, we’re opting for a morning ceremony followed by brunch on the deck. And then later around sunset having everyone back over for drinks and dessert.

How are you guys handling food and activities?

@cabana_bride:  We picked November so it wouldn’t be sweltering hot and miserable for an outdoor wedding.  Summers in Florida are brutal.  Last year temps were in the 80s on our wedding day so we’re hoping for the same this year.

We rented a private beach house for the week leading up to the wedding.  We plan on relaxing on the beach for a few days with some of our guests who are flying in from the UK.  We’re getting married on the beach behind the house and then holding the reception in the backyard behind the beach house (between the dunes and the beach.)

We’re doing a sunrise beach wedding in October! I”m actually excited that it’s in the fall, I don’t want to feel disgusting from being in the heat all morning. 🙂

Shoot, we’re still worried that it will still be too HOT!  We’re down in way south Florida, so we also have to keep an eye out for the dreaded H-word (hurricanes).

Though, it’s not quite a beach wedding, but on a local yacht, on the intracoastal.  Ocean-y, without the sand! 🙂
